Testrun meme - July
To make up for lack of meme last month we're a bit early this month! This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications.
1) It's too darn hot! The summer months are upon us, and a freak heatwave has made its way to Union. Do you endure through the heat, or are you going to take matters into your own hands? There is a pool in the water habitat, and there is that nice tropical island...
2) The business district is packed, especially the local Pokémart. Something about a limited edition silk scarf that "quadruples the effectiveness of any moves or your money back*!" (*Results not typical, no refunds if open, used, etc.) It's a madhouse here!
3) July is the month for Pokémon contests! There is a pavilion set up in one of the parks, as well as a stage. Are you watching or performing?
4) In Caldera, while tensions are still high, fun can still be had, particularly with the new ceasefire established with Gigas. In celebration, they hare hosting an exhibition of sorts, which equates to "get in a ring, beat the crap out of the other guy," lather rinse repeat. They're even taking people from the crowd.
5) Wild card! Come up with your own prompt!

[Kuranosuke fans himself, putting on his best look of dramatic repulsion.
He can't be assed to wear a wig today. Nope. Too hot. His hair will have to do as it is-- and lighter makeup, sure. This is a practice session, so being in drag is still the better idea, but what he would give to be back home in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt right now!]
I swear, these boobs are going to stick forever with how sweaty it's making me. Baby, come over here, let's get another round in and get home, okay?
[His togepi, Baby, hops to her feet and toddles over, chirping happily and nonsensically as she comes to attention.]
Alright. Now, let's take a risk! Give me your best Metronome!
[Baby chirps happily, swinging her arms from left to right-- just before Kuranosuke notices they're not quite alone in the practice area.]
Baby, wait--
[Of course, it's too late.
OOC: You can dodge or get hit by attract, bubblebeam, or dazzling gleam! Baby's a low-level togepi, though, so it won't do much damage if it's a hit.
Also, Kuranosuke is a boy in drag! He mostly passes, but if your character is particularly perceptive, he won't mind if they can tell he's a boy.

[ Hans, despite simply doing his rounds, ends up momentarily blinded. Ugh, and now he's got a headache. He squints toward the direction of the attack, not realizing it came from a drag queen and his itty bitty pokémon. ]

Kuranosuke's quick to put on a sweet demeanour again, though, scooping up Baby as he trots over in his heeled boots.]
Oh my, I am so sorry, darling! Are you quite alright? My poor Baby was just practicing, she never meant to hit you-- can I help you clean up?

Which, by the by, means his usually red-brown irises look particularly red at the moment. Kinda hard to tell with him scratching at his eyes, gloved hands pinching the bridge of his nose. ]
She caught me off-guard, that's all. No harm done, I'm sure.

[He can't exactly tell it's not his sclera that are red, since Hans's gloves are in the way.]

[ As much as it smarts, he finally stops scratching at his eyes, bringing his hands down so Kuranosuke can get a good look. ]

[The togepi in his arms looks sheepish once again, putting her wee chick arms to her face and chirping an apology. She's very, very sorry!]

[Unfortunately, the Gardevoir at his side isn't quite so quick this time. She gets hit full-force with Attract, and ends up standing stock-still at Feliks's side while he dusts his skirt off, staring wide-eyed at the Togepi and... Blushing?]
[...What is this feeling? She's... She's certain it isn't appropriate! In desperation, she teleports herself away to the Łukasiewicz apartment, leaving Feliks to fend for himself.]
