TESTRUN MEME

1) New Years Celebration! There are fireworks all over the city! And that means your Pokémon are probably hiding under the bed. No matter how big they are. What do?

2) There's been some heavy snowfall and the connecting bridges are overloaded. They're really slick and icy and need to be plowed for safety. You and your Pokémon have been selected for this "honor". Have fun!

3) With the winter coming, the Hot Springs have been overwhelmed by an abundance of monkey Pokémon. They've been attacking citizens who are trying to soak in the pools and it's creating a big problem. Go resolve it!

4) Caldera has been working on a project to restore some of their fortifications, and that means they need strong trainers and Pokémon to help carry and work the stone and metal. Time to help out!

5) The Tropical Island has become something of a destination in the wintertime, and it's getting really crowded. Some Pokémon researchers need to conduct studies on the volcano but the throng of tourists is simply too much. Help clear a path!

It's common when you don't want to be found.

[He frowned at the stranger from underneath his thick, disheveled bangs with a look of discontent in his green eyes. Clearly, it had been a long night.]

Skipping work, I presume? Or maybe you had a fight with the missus.

[He's awfully nosy.]

A little bit of one...and a little bit of the other?

[He was being nosy, and Daisuke didn't really care for answering at that moment. The stranger will just have to settle with the non-answer for now.]

Who are you, anyway? You're not from around here.

[expertonshutters]

[He whistles but otherwise doesn't continue that conversation. Instead he stands up straight and offers his hand.]

Hayato Ichimonji. I'm a freelance Photographer from Caldera.

[The blond stands as well, stretching out his lanky limbs that were stiff from napping on the bench before taking the stranger's hand with a smile.]

Daisuke Aurora, [He said with a firm shake and a sly grin.] Hope you're not going to try to sell that photo. It's not gonna be the best shot.

Well met.

[Hayato does a good job not showing it, but handshakes are horrifying endeavors for him. Being an enhanced steel type and having a shaky control over your strength at best made almost all little things like that a federal fucking issue for him to overcome.]

You sure? I got a fantastic upshot of the inside of your nostrils.

Is that right? [Daisuke grinned, rolling along with this little game.] In that case, I know a few collectors in town who'd be willing to pay big bucks for that type of shot!

[There was a teasing look in his eyes, as if he didn't even notice any shakiness in the small gesture that the two shared between them. After all, who was he to judge a stranger-- or anyone?]

Aaaah, that's awfully kind of you. Being that I'm new here, anything will help! [And roll they will!]

[Though, it's good Daisuke refrained from making mention of anything he picked up. That's a quick why to get him running.]

Hey, eveyone's new at least once in their life. It's hard not to understand.

[He stretched again, suppressing a yawn, and glanced up at the sky to get an idea of the time. There was more than one way to make a new friend comfortable in this town, and if his estimations were right--]

There's a noodle stand in the down town. It's a little street vendor that doesn't look like much, but I swear they've got the best noodles in town. We should be just missing the lunch rush, too.

If you're hungry, that is. I know I am.

[Unionites were so friendly. It was actually something he was beginning to enjoy about the quaint little town. That and there were a ridiculous amount of photo opportunities here.]

I could probably go for some noodles right now. Far be it I turn down an offer to see something the city has to offer.

Great. Follow me.

[Still grinning, he stuck his hands in his pockets and started off toward the gate of the park. Just stick with Daisuke-- he'll show you everything.]

How long have you been in town, anyway? This is a weird season to just up and blow in from the north.

[expertonshutters]

[He definitely wants to see everything. He follows along after him!]

Not very long. Two weeks, I think?

[He glances at him, smile still in place. He offers a noncommittal shrug.]

You could say I needed a change of scenery.

[loveshiscity]

I see, so you've probably found a place for yourself and everything already, haven't ya?

[He's just assuming things here. Talking for the sake of conversation.]

But, if the scenery is what you're looking for, you should've waited another couple of months. All these trees will be covered in flowers then. They make for some great shots if you're into more than taking pictures of strangers.

It's more like a box that I use as a dark room and occasionally sleep in. [But he couldn't complain seeing as he got it for so cheap. He could drum up some business and get something bigger later if he wanted.]

That's definitely interesting. If I'm still around, I'll have to see for myself.

[loveshiscity]

[While he respected the other man's tenacity and ingenuity, there was a small problem: how can a man properly sleep in those conditions?]

...Hey. This is gonna sound sudden, but I've got space on the couch if you want a better place to sleep sometime.

['A good sleep brings a Man great comfort,' he could almost hear his partner saying. Sleep was Serious Business.]

[That comment makes his stop. He looks Daisuke over strangely like he's not sure he's understanding what he's asking. After a moment he smiles, quirking an eyebrow.]

Boy, what they say about this place is right. You guys are really friendly. You sure about that? You don't even know me, you know.

[He was touched, but there were a number of reason why this would be a bad idea.]

Well, you could've taken my wallet instead of snapping my picture back in the park, you know.

[He chuckled, moderately amused by how this was turning out.]

But you didn't, so that means you've gotta be a pretty good guy.

....Don't worry, either. I hardly use the place as it is, and not being tied to a street address might be better for you if you decide you want another 'change of scenery'.

[There were a number of interesting things about what Daisuke said to him. The overwhelming trust in his person was one thing, but aside from that.]

[Looks like this guy had picked up on a lot about him from just this short amount of time. Some of that put him on edge, but the rest of it just made him morbidly curious to learn more about him.]

Well. I guess I can't argue with that. Union hospitality sure is something else.

[loveshiscity]

[There was a reason he worked in investigations-- much to his eternal chagrin over having that monkey called 'paperwork' hanging on his back after running from it for years. Daisuke merely shrugged.]

Maybe. Or, maybe you just got lucky enough to meet the right guy. Who knows?

[Heh. He liked this guy.]

It sounds like I'm going to have to stick around a little while to find out.

[He slides his hands in his pocket, camera going around his neck. It looks like he's a little more relaxed at least. There's something a bit more genuine in his grin now.]

[Mission Accomplished. Regardless of whatever Hayato's reasons for wandering in were, at least he would be comfortable in this city.

That was all Daisuke wanted.]

Yeah, you definitely can't leave yet. Not until after you've seen how wild this place can get when there's something big going down. This is definitely the place to be if you're a people person.

I won't deny being a people person. I also don't think I could manage to live in a boring town. I've heard a lot of interesting stories about this place.

Well, if you stay here long enough you'll get to see some of them for yourself too.
