TESTRUN MEME

1) New Years Celebration! There are fireworks all over the city! And that means your Pokémon are probably hiding under the bed. No matter how big they are. What do?

2) There's been some heavy snowfall and the connecting bridges are overloaded. They're really slick and icy and need to be plowed for safety. You and your Pokémon have been selected for this "honor". Have fun!

3) With the winter coming, the Hot Springs have been overwhelmed by an abundance of monkey Pokémon. They've been attacking citizens who are trying to soak in the pools and it's creating a big problem. Go resolve it!

4) Caldera has been working on a project to restore some of their fortifications, and that means they need strong trainers and Pokémon to help carry and work the stone and metal. Time to help out!

5) The Tropical Island has become something of a destination in the wintertime, and it's getting really crowded. Some Pokémon researchers need to conduct studies on the volcano but the throng of tourists is simply too much. Help clear a path!

[Shoveling snow was never a fun task, but Naomi was trying to make the best of it. How? By piling a good amount of snow off to the side where her Cubone - dressed in a fashionable sweater - was creating a fort for the two after Naomi was freed from her duty. The fourteen year old shifter grinned, bundled up from head-to-toe in a hat, scarf, puffy marshmallow jacket, snow boots, and gloves, enough that one might wonder how she can move.]

Make sure there are snowballs, Cu! [She grinned, the bushy Eevee tail peeking out from beneath her jacket swishing.] I bet we can get a couple people walking by when they see how clear it is!

[There is a mischievous smile on her lips, and the scheme is met with a cheerful "Cu, Cuuu!" from her pokemon.]

[Oh was Naomi supposed to be helping make a path? Because she certainly wasn't.

Instead anyone walking along the beach will come across a Eevee with a big purple bow playing in the shallows. Naomi has never been to a beach before and needless to say she is going to make the most of it.

Come play with her!]

NAOMI have a Kili

Is kind of freaking out at the snow. Caldera is pretty snow-free and even when they get it it's never so much or so fluffy. He's hardly paying any attention as he and his two wander around the park, admiring the snow and walking right into Naomi's path]

Cuboooone!

[Her friends alert catches Naomi's attention. She looks around, spotting the unsuspecting Kili and co walking up the path. With a grin she decides that the path is clear enough. Setting her shovel aside she hops behind the fort.

Two snowballs are quick to come flying at Kili when he passes by. Naomi and Cu duck down, hiding from sight.

Thoooough the sound of giggles is probably a dead give away.

[Kili grunts and laughs when the snowballs hit him but his Skiddo, Kuna, starts wailing because they upset someone!! Why would someone attack them if they didn't upset someone??]

Kuna--Kuna, calm down, it's just a game!

[Oh... Oh no. Naomi pops up immediately after hearing the Skiddo wail.]

Don't cry!

[Shoot did she hurt them?]

[Kuna is sobbing as Kili tries to calm her down. Belbul just floats over to the Shifter.

In Poke: "She does that. Poor thing is skittish and scares easy."]

[Naomi gets up, brushing snow off her pants. She looks from the Belbul to the Skiddo and the young man trying to calm her down.]

Oh.

[There's a look shared with Cu before they're both hopping over the fort and going over the the poor Skiddo.]

Hey! Don't cry, 'm sorry we didn't mean to startle you. We were just having a bit of fun.

[If that doesn't work, then hopefully Cu making funny faces will.]

[It doesn't. It just scares her more. Kili sighs and just picks her up for cuddling]

Sorry about that. I don't think she knows what to make of people.

[Well that didn't go as planned and soon Cu is hiding behind Naomi.]

Oh... Is she better with pokemon?

As long as they don't scare her, yeah. Kili, at your service.

[He bows slightly]

This is Kuna, and Belbul is my Carbink.

'm Naomi and this is my friend Cu.

[Have a small, clumsy curtsy in response to his bow.]

It's nice to meet you all. 'm sorry for scaring you Kuna. We really were just playing.

[Well lookie there, that sure looks like an unsuspecting target walking down the pathway. He's dressed in shrine clothes and definitely looks like some kind of enlightened. Maybe a Dragon type? Who knows. What you do know is that he looks super oblivious. Wanna try your luck?]

[Another target zero'd in on! The pair barely contain their giggles.

One would think she'd know better then to try and pick a snowball fight with an Enlightened but... Well there goes a snowball directed at Eiji.]

NAOMI MY CHILD now in the right place

[Ankh was still working on getting the hang of flying in a human body, since he couldn't anymore when he was a Talonflame. So less than he is coming to play with you, Naomi you sweet Eevee child, is he's squawking and then crashing, tumbling and rolling to a stop in the shallows just behind you.]

[Of course, he fairly immediately rights himself and starts acting like this was his plan all along, preening and treating the ocean like a giant salty bird bath.]

DID YOU GOOF?

[If that didn't startle her she's not sure what else would. There's a small squeak as she jumps, spinning around and ducking down ready to pounce.

Then she has to blink looking at the strange man using the ocean as a bird bath.

Still in her Eevee form she can't help but ask.]

Are you okay?

[Not that she expects him to understand her, but Naomi sometimes forgets not everyone speaks poke.]

I HECKED UP

[tsunbird]

[He blinks, turning to look at her belatedly.]

[Luckily for you, Naomi, Ankh is sort of a reverse-shifter-- he's actually a Pokemon with the ability to shift into a human form. So he definitely understands Poke.]

[He rolls his eyes and rearranges a few more feathers.]

I'm fine.

[When he responds back she lights up. In a flash she's bouncing over to him.]

But you just fell, didn't you?

[tsunbird]

[He jolts away from her a little, almost as though offended by her excited bouncing.]

That was called diving, thank you.

[No, he completely fell.]

[serenesuccessor]

[She stops her bouncing, but bends low again almost as if she's going to bounce. Playfully of course.]

Sounded like you fell!

[tsunbird]

[Basically this face.]

Well then your ears must be broken. [Preen.]

That's not very nice.

[Her nose scrunches up, the tail that had been wagging slowing to a halt.]

[tsunbird]

[He inspects the clawed fingernails of his one hand.]

Congratulations, you're learning.

[serenesuccessor]

[There's a little huff, and then she jumps forward.

Shifting is always strange, but Naomi's gotten a lot better at it. So in a flash there's a tiny, fourteen year old girl staring up at Ankh in a lilac sundress and a purple ribbon around her neck.]

'm Naomi.

[She's not easily deterred. Her tail is already wagging again.]

[ WHAT IS THIS STRANGE WHITE STUFF ON THE GROUND. Bundled up from top to bottom in warm weather gear, Zoe looks more coat than woman. She doesn't seem to be enjoying herself, the novelty of snow and cold fading quickly for this Calderan. She doesn't seem to be paying too close attention to her surroundings, far too busy pulling her coat about her and being generally discontent with the weather. Obviously she was the perfect target. ]

[IT IS MAGICAL STRANGE WHITE STUFF THAT CAN BE USED FOR FLUFFY FIGHTS OR SNOW CONES OR OTHER AWESOME THINGS.

Naomi spots the bundled up girl walking down their path, looking utterly oblivious. After exchanging an impish look with her Cubone, Naomi packs another snowball, taking aim at Zoe's back as she passes and throwing it.

Then she's ducking down, trying to hide even though her giggles and the Eevee tail peeking up from the snow mound might be a dead giveaway...]
