THE TIMELINE MEME



We’ve been chronicling the adventures of Union for the past few years now, but what about everyone’s childhoods? What about the bright futures they’re hoping to obtain, or the desperation they’ll feel if they fail? This is a place to have fun imagining what would happen if characters met at different periods in their lives!

Play around with any of the following:

1) Ten Years Ago…: Maybe your character is a child dreaming of their own Pokémon adventure. Maybe they’re just embarking on their career. How did everything begin? Play around with it! (Remember, though: Union thought they were the only civilization out there…)

2) Ten Years Later - Good End: The world has been saved, and all the cities in the world are friends! What might it look like? Imagine that here!

3) Ten Years Later - Bad End: …or perhaps the Elite Four succeed in “punishing” mankind. Perhaps the gods forgive humanity, but Gigas causes global warming. Perhaps Mewtwo changes his mind. Whatever catastrophe has befallen the world, it’s time for SURVIVAL HORROR WITH POKEMON. Good luck.

4) Bonus: Full AU: What if things went differently at any point in the game? Perhaps Union has become a colony of Gigas, or Reshiram’s rampage wasn’t stopped. Maybe Union refused to aid Sanctuary because, dear lord, have you seen what they do to people in Sanctuary. Change one thing, and you’ll change everything!

[ Huh. Weird coincidence. But that's got nothing to do with her. Haruka should walk on by - her Rhyhorn did well today, and she wants to get him a really nice Poké Puff for his trouble. She hears there's this new café in town that's run entirely by Happiny.

And yet her mouth is opening. ] You don't look like you ride.

[ Because you were totally checking out the Rhyhorn, right? A tableau like that, you had to be. It's magnificent. ]

[she turns and. Oh. It's you.

Here's a small smile, despite whatever she's feeling right now.] Rhyhorn? I can't say I've ever tried.

[all you're getting from Ralts is a deeply suspicious look]

You get dusty. And it takes muscle.

[ Why is she even talking to this person. She's already admitted that she doesn't ride Rhyhorn - why is Haruka belaboring the point?

She's also belaboring the point in a somewhat derogatory way, but that's not her problem. Haruka shrugs. Naturally, she is self-confident enough to not mind if she gets dusty. And naturally, she has great leg muscles. ] Better stick to looking at pictures.

[ Even she doesn't know why she's dancing around asking what the deal was earlier. ]

[huh. That hurt, unexpectedly. Then again, was she expecting something else? Ralts bristles, but Trainer just raises an eyebrow.

Michiru turns around completely, finger tapping at her chin as she seems to look you over.]

It is pretty easy to make assumptions, isn't it? [even if it looks like you like to break a few of those yourself]

[ Whoa. Why does Haruka suddenly feel like she's only standing on one leg? Both her feet are planted firmly on the ground. In fact, there are few things she trusts more in this world than her own feet. So where's this sense of disorientation coming from?

Weird kid. But she'd been watching earlier, so let's see. ] Did you need something?

[oh, a topic change. Well, she can roll with that.]

Now? [because you're the one who started talking to her] Or earlier?

I was just riding.

[ And yet you were staring. So what's with that, huh? Or, really, what made your eyes stand out when nobody else's did? ]

You were attracting a lot of attention. [she's either making an observation or that's her excuse for staring]

Nosy kid.

[ Haruka shrugs. ] There's a race in a few weeks. Check that out if you want to see something really impressive.

[ She'll....be in the amateur one, and she doesn't just mean "come see her". Rhyhorn racing is, well. It's Rhyhorn racing. She'd rather talk about it than anything else in the world!

Like asking this girl for her name. ]

[ What is with this girl. This girl is so weird. Haruka turns like she's going to go, but she's making a bit of a show of it. ] Don't sit too near the front. It's harder to see, and you might get muddy.

[ But easier for her to notice you staring at her during the race. She is taking no chances. ]
