Character Name: Sinbad
Blurb: Ambitious, Friendly, a wannabe Casanova, he's looking to make a world where people can exchange ideas in peace.

AU Info: Basically, he's a runaway from a hilariously awful city-state in the Archipelagos because he got pressed gang into exploring some ruins and ran off with a 'secret weapon'. So he's technically wanted for treason in that city-state, and is currently trying to build up the start of a mercantile house as a spring-step towards bigger ambitions.

Pre-Existing CR: Sinbad had traveled around before ending up in Union, most around the Archipelago. He also is a meddler and tends to stick his nose into other people's business.
Looking for: A Big Brother/Father figure to help rein in his most obnoxious habits or anyone that will not tolerate bullshit along those longs, people to explore ruins and mysterious places with him, younger kids to protect/spoil, and straight-laced people he can pester and irritate.
Potential Connections: Sinbad's been hanging around in the business district, the habitat, and the entertainment districts. He's trying to make business connections, sniff out treasure rumors, and be besties with Pokemon.

Other Info: Right now he has the ability to sense what he calls 'waves' - which more or less functions as a spider-sense, but he'll grow into full on Empathy/Sense people's wants.

Character Name: Umi Sonoda
Blurb: Umi is a stern, hard working individual. She may seem pretty tough, but in reality, her hobby is singing and dancing. Although she can be really strict with her friends sometimes, it's usually to try and help. She better not catch Honoka munching on sweets

AU Info: Umi is a Water/Fighting Enlightened from Caldera. Her parents run a well known dojo that specializes in both martial arts and traditional dancing. In the same vein, she offers move tutoring for Pokémon. She moved to Union in search of a better education, seeing how Caldera's education focuses mainly on trade skills rather than academics.

Pre-Existing CR: Calderans have more likely than not heard of her family's dojo, and it's relatively easy to assume that if they visited it, they'd at least seen her before.

Looking for: Just about any CR would be lovely, really. Especially more friends to drag her out and socialize/enjoy herself.

Potential Connections: Umi is part of the 'idol' group, although I dunno what's going on with that anymore. She frequents the University for her studies, so fellow students are more than free to have bumped into her or something.

Other Info: Umi has a secret base along the coastline where you can go for move tutoring! Or battling, too.

A bunch of us talked about the idol stuff in sheepy's plurk the other day. Since we already lost Kotori a few months ago, and Maki and Nico just dropped, the idol stuff is being kept kind of loose on the whole at this point, with less emphasis on keeping a big group together. Hanayo will still be pursuing idolhood full time, Rin will most likely help her out here and there between exploring, Honoka is focusing mainly on adventuring and training her Pokemon, Nozomi's going to lean more toward the development of the Fey family half of her CR, and I don't remember what Void said about Eli. But everyone also sort of agreed that they'd get together and sing and dance sometimes too since they're all still friends. So whatever direction Umi goes is pretty much your call. Hanayo would be happy to perform with her, for my own part.

Character Name: Hayato Ichimonji
Blurb: Hayato is a photojournalist turned cyborg turned justice fueled, monster fightan vigilante. He's from the very first Kamen Rider series, and goes by Kamen Rider 2 as he fights monsters to protect humanity with his partner, Kamen Rider 1.

Outside the suit, he's a good-natured, sometimes silly nerd with a hair trigger temper and a tendency to let his emotions get the better of him. He's also a sixth degree Judo blackbelt, fifth degree in Karate and really like kids.

AU Info: Unsurprisingly Hayato is an Enhanced in BNW. Though he doesn't carry the stigma of the Enhanced trainer ability (His mind is still mostly intact) he's still pretty touchy about trying to control his abilities and kind of breaks stuff all the time. He's not a Kamen Rider here, but he's definitely still a photojournalist and he's always in people's business.

One of the main themes I am aiming for with him, is for him to eventually be less of a photojournalist and to take up a more proactive approach to trouble. He needs to trade the pen for the sword like he does in canon.

Pre-Existing CR: Absolutely! Hayato was a Calderan war photographer for the conflict with Gigas. He was all over the battle field documenting the fight as well as occasionally getting dragged in and helping when things got nasty. Anyone Calderan (or Gigan for that matter) is welcome to have met him during this!

I am also open to anything I haven't already mentioned. If you have an idea, hit me up!

Looking for: I would love for us to get more Enhanced apps so Hayato can keep losing his shit. Also I just love him meeting and bothering people. People he can bust for doing bad things would be really cool, too.

Potential Connections: HAYATO IS EVERYWHERE he doesn't sit still, so he's in places where there are lots of people. He also lives in Dwarfhaus with Thorin, Kili, Probably Fili, and also Taki.

Other Info: The main thing I can think to point out is that Hayato is still considered M.I.A in Caldera and has been missing for nearly a year when he was captured by Gigas. If you're Calderan there is a possibility you would know that!

Character Name: Eiji Hino
Blurb: LOOK ANOTHER FUCKING KAMEN RIDER. Eiji is not a cyborg, but rather a vagabond with a mysterious past who was at the right place at the right time and got handed a super powerful magical belt that lets him blow up monsters. He teams up with an angry bird monster who yells at him a lot and the two try not to kill each other while making sure the world isn't consumed by monsters fueled by human desire.

He's a friendly but sometimes vacant hobo who makes a lot of bad life choices and sleeps on park benches.

AU Info: He's the cousin of Hikawa Shrine's Rei Hino! He's originally from Union but has traveled a lot. He's from a powerful noble family that he has no contact with whatsoever after they used him to make themselves look good during a really tragic incident that led to some dead orphans and an almost dead Eiji, so he took off and wandered the outside world for a while. He came back, got scolded by Rei, and has lived at the Shrine since.

He's an Ice/Flying Enlightened that looks a lot like a purple scaly dragon. He is also a shop clerk that works for Nozomi!

Pre-Existing CR: Anyone who's a noble or of a noble family is free to have met Eiji in the past! They would note that he's a very different person from back then! The Eiji now is a lot more subdued and kind of out there, where the younger Eiji was much more bright and optimistic.

Anyone who's from outside of Union is also free to have come across him while he was out travelling!

Looking for: I'm not picky for Eiji! He's friendly and he gets along with most anyone! Seriously, if you'd think they'd get along well, come at me!

Potential Connections: The Shrine, Etteilla, Ninetails Vale, and the Verdant Forest are good places to find him!

Other Info: About a year and a half ago there was an orphanage that burned out and a lot of people died! Eiji was involved in that and almost didn't make it. His parents talked him up like some kind of hero over the radio and that's about when he disappeared. The orphanage and Eiji being involved would be Union common knowledge!

Since these two met during the event, I would love to do more stuff with them. Sanae's kind of a moe blob, who typically has her stuff together and is extremely earnest, if not a bit weird.

Also re: Excellen, I forget, what's Hayato's age? I think we established they're relatively close but I don't recall.

Also also, so with Elly taking a bit more of a background role, I'd really love to flesh out more CR with Eiji and Nozomi. She's been in something of a spiritual slump lately, and for some odd reason, I feel like he might be really good for advice with that (even if he isn't spiritual himself) due to his traveling. Thoughts?

Blurb: Xiu's the ghost of a girl who died 500 years ago, although she has no memory of dying. She's a cheery, relaxed thing who loves nothing more than to sit back and play music on the instruments she's bound to.

AU Info: Xiu is a Ghost/Fairy Enlightened from...who knows where. She spent years traveling around, although the only cities she's ever been to are Caldera and Union. Her dream is to try and spread peace through music.

Pre-Existing CR: The only real opportunity for pre-existing CR is for Calderans. Xiu spent a few months there before Gigas attacked.

Looking for: Any and all! Especially friends. Xiu likes friends, and anyone who appreciates instrumental music. Someone should totally show her to the hot springs, too.

Potential Connections: Xiu's very new to Union. While she spends a fair amount of time sitting on street corners and playing her music, she actually camps out in the Verdant Forest.

Other Info: Xiu is unaware that she's actually a ghost.

Blurb: Super enthusiastic, headstrong, friendly, and not terribly book smart girl who wields a mean staff.

AU Info: Estelle is from Caldera! Her father was a former high-ranking officer in the Steel Battalion who retired ten years ago, when Estelle's mother was killed in an attack on the city. He became a Seeker after that. Estelle followed in his footsteps; she became a Seeker when she turned sixteen, and was assigned to Union's brand new Seekers branch. She's since been active in Union, focusing more on the exploration than research side.

Pre-Existing CR: Estelle's dad was a commander in the Calderan army, so older Calderan characters might have known him and know Estelle that way. She also lived in Caldera until last year; she might know Seekers and anyone from Caldera already!
Looking for: Friends and pretty much anything! More CR is great, and I am flexible with whatever comes my way. I also am A-OK with more negative CR, too. People to explore ruins with is also nice.
Potential Connections: She hangs out in the Verdant Forest a good bit; she also is established to like musical concerts and stuff. Also, Seekers!

Character Name: Gilgamesh Wulfenbach
Blurb: A scientist by trade who could be described as a trifle mad. He gets very excited when he's building things, and is prone to fits of manic technical brilliance. On the other hand, he's also kind of bad at reading people and tends to miss social cues even he's NOT in the Madness Place.

AU Info: Son of a politician and minor noble family that has only recently become prominent in politics. His father had him raised not just in secret, but also in ignorance of his bloodline. To teach him self reliance and independence, you see. Gil only recently discovered his father's true identity, and is coming to terms with suddenly having to deal with the upper crust.
Steel/Electric Engineer

Pre-Existing CR: Gil went to one of the most elite schools in Union, his way paid for by a "mysterious benefactor" (his father). People may remember him as a troublemaker who liked to take things apart to see how they worked, sneak into places he wasn't supposed to go, and get very excited about strange things.

Even more recently, he was publicly declared the heir of House Wulfenbach, which has been making waves in the last few years.

Looking for: Other tech whizzes. People who are easy to boss around (Seriously. What kind of self respecting mad scientist doesn't have any lackeys or minions?), people to laugh at him when he misses something obvious. Someone to give him his trademark hat.

Potential Connections: Obviously other engineers and such, but he also has been known to sneak into bars despite being technically underage.

Other Info: Despite being Enlightened, he doesn't really have any enlightened powers. Or rather, he does, but they're entirely mental. He can't shoot lasers or turn invisible, but he can intuitively understand devices or natural forces and quickly understand how to bend them to his will.

Character Name: Morgiana
Blurb: Tiny, soft spoken ex-slave who can kick people through walls.

AU Info: Ex-servitor from Gigas, Morgiana escaped and is living in exile/hiding in Union while she works against her former oppressors. She is a member of the Fanalis clan: a group of people who have superhuman strength, speed, and senses, but very poor ability to connect with Pokemon.
Fighting/Fire God of War.

Pre-Existing CR: She is from Gigas, as mentioned, so anyone else from there might...conceivably have known her? Unlikely. She also spent the last six months being dropped from the game traveling the lands to the South, so if you're from there you might have run into her there.

Looking for: A group for her to join. Bad people for her to beat up. People to help her get over her various mental hangups from a lifetime of abuse.

Actually, I also kind of wanted to do a plot where Morgiana and someone else get captured by slavers, hoping to sell them to Gigas for Servitors or some similarly awful fate. Obviously, this would lead to daring escapes and heroic rescues and such, but it would put her in interesting (sad) mental places.

Potential Connections: She spends a lot of time helping out around her neighborhood. She doesn't make a lot of money, but since she helps out everyone and since crime in the area has started dropping, she doesn't tend to NEED a lot of money. When you help everyone, sometimes people want to help you back.

Character Name: Right Suzuki
Blurb: Slightly-ditzy, childish, and almost-always hungry guy who rides around on the Imagination-fueled Rainbow Line with his best buddies in search of their memories and their hometown. He's usually known to any passerby as that one food-loving guy that's also very friendly and helpful sometimes.

Oh, and his crew can transform into ToQgers, which are train-themed Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers), and they fight against the evil Darkness-fueled Shadow Line.

AU Info: Right's a Union-native Kindred Soul with Normal/Fairy typing. He's got all of his memories together in this AU, and naturally, he's at his hometown. He grew up being well-known at school for both his huge appetite and his hatred of bullies that picks on little kids and steal their food. His dad works at Happy-Me Pharmacy, and his grandpa is an ex-Trainer who's taught Right the basics of being a Trainer.

Around early March (when he was apped into the game), he got hired by Haruka as a worker of the Union Divine Theater, thus enabling him to live his life-long dream of working in a good theater. He's also amassing a small army of Pokemon Friends, though a couple of his more questionable bonds are due to him being far too trusting for his own good.

Pre-Existing CR: If you're one of the older members of the Swords or the Guards, you may have broken up one or two of Right's more public fights with bullies. Also, you're welcome to recognize him from his school days for either being one of the few kids willing to go toe-to-toe with bullies, and also for being voted "Most Likely To Become a Snorlax Shifter".

Looking for: People to be parental at him in both loving and disciplinary ways. Also, people to take advantage of Right's too-trusting, helpful nature, for good or for ill.

Potential Connections: Right's usually around the Union Divine Theater, where he lives and works at. If he's not there, then he's either visiting his dad at the Happy-Me Pharmacy, or eating out. Also, you can meet him through his Pokemon, since not all of them work alongside him at the Divine Theater. Most likely suspects would be Natasha, his mischievous Purrloin that thinks that Bugs are toys and prey; Rick, his Clefairy that will flirt with anyone and everyone at the drop of a hat; and Yami, his semi-evil Bunnelby that's also a budding small-time criminal.

Other Info: Right's getting close to his first evolution! Which means that he's going to be sporting a pair of small Fairy wings when it happens. Also, because he's a Kindred Soul, he tends to think of Pokemon as another group of people, and tends to forget that not everyone can keep up with one side of the conversation whenever he ends up chatting with Pokemon.

Character Name: Varun Elmas Banzu
Blurb: An asshole who's very smart but doesn't give a shit about other people and only does things that will benefit himself in some way.

AU Info: An Engineer and Steel-type Enlightened with the ability to reshape metal with his bare hands. He owns and operates the port and Pathfinder, Union's sole ship.

Pre-Existing CR: Prior to 8 years ago he hung out with a crowd of troublemaking kids, and between 8 years ago and game start he officially lived at an orphanage, though he spent as little time as possible there, so anyone could've known him back then.

Looking for: Anything! People to butt heads with, fellow nerds, business opportunities, people who will actually be nice to the asshole despite his best efforts, whatever.

Potential Connections: For obvious reasons, he's at the port a lot. Probably every person in Union who doesn't own a large Water-type has taken a ride on his ship at least once, so anyone can meet him that way. He also frequents the Salvage Shop, though less so than he used to.

Other Info: At some point when I stop forgetting and nothing's coming up he's going to be looking for people to teach to pilot the ship so he can have some time off. Does anyone have a character who would be interested in this?

I'm also open and eager for any and all plots that involve the port and the ship, whether explorations by sea or characters who want to build stuff on the coast.

And someone needs to mount another mission to the Archipelago to open it up for trade! Someone who isn't a wanted criminal there. I'm looking at you, Isabela.

Character Name: Domri Rade
Blurb: A street kid who wanted to join the local barbarian tribe but was rejected because he was too small. So he befriended a bunch of giant animals and had them trample some of the tribe's enemies to death. Then the tribe liked him. Then during his initiation as a full member he ignited his planeswalker spark and gained the ability to travel between universes, which he intends to use to have fun adventures.

AU Info: Domri's from one of the Valkyrie tribes of the Citadel, come to Union because this place is officially a weirdness magnet and he wants to have adventures and prove to everyone that even though he's a twig he can still be awesome. He's a Normal/Psychic Kindred Soul with the ability to give Pokémon power-ups and teleport himself or willing Pokémon around. He's currently just looking around the area for anything interesting and beginning to grow his ridiculous-big menagerie.

Pre-Existing CR: Those who are from or have spent a lot of time around Citadel will know that his tribe, the Gruul, value physical strength very highly and are more than willing to start fights. Those who were involved in the raids prior to the Heatran incident likely fought at least one group of Gruul. Domri didn't participate in the raids himself, but he has a bunch of his tribe's tattoos and piercings, which people might recognize. Visitors to the Citadel may have encountered him and told him stories about Union, inadvertently giving him the idea to come here.

Looking for: Friends, enemies, people to nerd about Pokémon with, people for him to annoy, anything! If anyone needs someone to join in on an adventure, Domri's up for it.

Potential Connections: Not... yet?

Other Info: I'm actually not sure what he's doing for food and shelter at this point. He's probably got a Secret Base somewhere to stay. I should figure that out.

So the whole Mewtwo debacle? Thorin walked out of there vaguely impressed because if it hadn't been for Domri they might not have made it through that. He's also dead certain that if someone doesn't look after this kid, he's gonna just get himself killed one day because he has more heart than sense.
... not that he's about to jump on this task, but. Maybe we can still do something? Either way, Domri definitely left an impression.

Character Name: Hanayo Koizumi
Blurb: A shy teenage girl who loves singing and dancing and wants more than anything to become an idol.

AU Info: Hanayo is mostly the same as she is in canon, except that she's worked Pokemon into her performing style through the use of various sound-based moves like Belly Drum and Grass Whistle. Since the Love Live cast lost a few members recently, she's probably going to be pursuing a mostly solo idol career soon.

Pre-Existing CR: She's still in school and volunteers part time at the Breeding Center. Also anyone who's interested in Pokemon contests, since she spends a fair bit of time hanging around that whole scene.
Looking for: Fellow idol fans, people to become her fans, idol-senpais for her to look up to and train under, people who will push her out of her comfort zone and get her to take risks and try new things.
Potential Connections: Pretty much what I said above - school, Breeding Center, etc.

Character Name: Chie Satonaka
Blurb: Obsessed with martial arts and meat.

AU Info: Chie's AU mostly resembles what she's like at the end of Persona 4 / beginning of Arena, in that she's more confident and knows what she wants to do with her life. Instead of deciding to become a police officer, she's joined the Swords of the Savior. Her favorite type is the Dragon type, because TRIAL OF THE DRAGON. She herself is a Fighting/Ice type Master of Training. I'll probably try to see if she can get promoted in the Swords soon, but other than that, no terribly specific plans.

Pre-Existing CR: Chie's not in school anymore, having graduated last summer, but it's possible people could know her that way if they're the right age. Also anyone in the Swords probably knows of her by this point, as she's a fairly active member.
Looking for: Anything and everything, really. Having a battle buddy in the Swords would be pretty great, but I'm not sure how many active members we have left. Also people to challenge her relatively black-and-white sense of justice or just to get up in her face in general about stuff.
Potential Connections: I always feel like this ends up being the same thing as the Pre-Existing CR section. Swords of the Savior, pretty much!

Other Info: Owing to her Ice typing, Chie's skin is always slightly chilly to the touch, and her breath is visible at all times like on a cold winter's day.

Character Name: Merrill
Blurb: A member of a wandering tribe of people who lost their home a thousand years ago when the ancestors of Gigas invaded and enslaved them, and then a second time five hundred years ago during the cataclysm. She's interested in history and the occult, and her driving goal is to uncover the lost history of her people and their first civilization.

AU Info: Merrill's AU replaces the Tevinter Imperium with Gigas and the Blight with the Cataclysm, but is otherwise basically the same as it's presented in Dragon Age II. Also, instead of a pride demon, she unsealed a particularly mean-spirited Spiritomb, which led to her banishment from her clan. She's bound to it with blood magic, and has promised it her body to do with as it will after she dies in exchange for its help finding out her peoples' lost history. Basically, this girl makes nothing but bad choices.

Pre-Existing CR: Not before coming to Union unless the character is also a member of a wandering tribe like the Dalish.
Looking for: Anything at this point, as Merrill's CR circle is relatively small.
Potential Connections: Merrill is a member of the Seekers and also hangs out at the library a lot.

Other Info: Being friends with her may backfire gloriously at some point because she has no sense of self-preservation.

Character Name: Lenna Charlotte Tycoon
Blurb: A fluffy and peace-loving member of one of Union's oldest noble families. Her father has been missing under mysterious circumstances for about a year, and in the meantime she's taken over as head of the family. Most of her efforts revolve around charity and helping both the poor of Union and travelers from outside the city trying to make a new start.

AU Info: Instead of a princess, Lenna is the daughter of a member of Union's Council. Her father went missing about a year ago, flying off to somewhere in the east on his Dragonite. She's got less of a taste for adventure overall since there's no AU Bartz around, and spends more of her time focusing on events in Union itself. The Tycoon family is known for its charity work and for a strong association with the Dragon type - every head of the family raises a Dragonite from an egg.

Pre-Existing CR: Any member of the noble class would certainly have heard of Lenna. It's also possible your character has been the recipient of some Tycoon family charity at some point if they're either a refugee or a Union native who's poor or orphaned.
Looking for: Anything goes. I feel like Lenna's CR pool has been shrinking lately, so I need to build it back up.
Potential Connections: In the section of town where the nobles live, but she also isn't shy about just going out among the people. She's very friendly, so it's possible to bump into her anywhere.

She completed medical training, but never joined the Medics officially because of the restrictive lifestyle, started to study history, and then realized that wasn't for her either. She grew restless, and eventually decided to become a Pokemon trainer.

Since joining the game proper, Yuuna has joined the Rangers and excelled. She's participated in numerous exploratory missions, photographed and fought Heatran and documented the Citadel incident for newspapers, and somehow managed to infuriate an entire tribe of Croagunk (Blame Haruka). She's the subject of regular attacks by said frogs, as well as hired out goons whenever she's anywhere near the swamp. She's also a noteworthy swordsman and martial artist, often teaching at her old master's school despite being a completely mundane human. She sometimes supplements her income by photographing Pokemon in the wild.

When she Awakened, she took time to try and separate herself from the business so as not to squander her gifts. She has a tenuous relationship with her family at present, as she comes in to help out only one or two days a week. They don't need it, they just expect her to give over and work in the traditional way.

Since joining the game she has gone on a few adventures, but mostly stayed pretty close to Union. The farthest she's traveled has been the islands to the south and even that wasn't alone. The most recent event put her into a terrible situation where she had a bunch of Grass types. This is going to bother her and push her to train even harder than she already does.

Pre-Existing CR: Spa-goers, friends of Chie, former schoolmates (she graduated recently), people who've attempted to ask her out?

Looking for: Yukiko is my weak link here. I don't have much CR for her outside of her castmates and I'd really love to change that. Positive, negative? AU Info: Rei is very responsible and takes her duties as a religious figure seriously. Rei is a Fire/Psychic type who resides in Ninetales Vale at Hikawa Shrine. She's a famously skilled fortune teller, and her predictions are almost always 100% accurate. Her family, the Hinos, are among Union's wealthiest and most influential, with her father sitting on the Counsil. Rei, however, hates her father for abandoning her mother when she was sick and dying and leaving her to live with her grandfather. She and her grandfather both are experienced at exorcisms, and make extra money for the shrine by taking care of ghosts And blackmailing her dad in exchange for not making a spectacle of herself.

In game, she's bonded with her castmates over being reincarnated heroines, done quite a lot of training, joined the Kurain School of Channeling, and worked to continue positive relations with the gods and the Enhanced. She's not a pacifist, but she hates fighting things that don't deserve it, enough so that she stared down Entei in the past. She also has a mischievous Treecko that's fond of stealing fruits from people (perferably as they're about to bite into them), and an overly mothering Kangaskhan that Ninetales Vale residents may be familiar with. Juno roams the neighborhood whenever Rei is late for dinner, looking for her lost "baby."

Pre-Existing CR: Nobles of course, Ninetales Vale residents, religious characters, people interested in fortune telling, and that's about it.

She's relatively well known, and is kind of remorseful about the fact that her inventions killed people and Pokemon so she's come to Union to get away. And to learn about new stuff. Ability wise? She's a Steel type now (gaining Fire later), with no offensive capabilities except her gun for now.

So Eric suggested this to me last night and I rather agree. I kind of want to see CR between Lucca and Lux. While Lux isn't an Engineer herself, I feel like these two could be potentially dangerous together.

That being said, I remember you mentioning that you wanted to partially resolve the thing we have going on with Rei and Sanae, and I would be all for that. She's a bit down on herself right now, since the mission with Lugia and Articuno went south fast. She's really doubting her ability to get stronger and to be a proper member of the DDF. As such, she has probably been avoiding the Hikawa shrine entirely since that episode, because, quite honestly? She doesn't feel like she's a proper rival for Rei right now.

Also concerning Rei, I'm going to be shifting Nozomi into more of a spiritual focus, and having her question a few things regarding that. She'll probably need a bit of help, but is way, WAY too proud to ask.

Furthermore, regarding Ami's past, her mother is a renowned medic in human medicine, and her father is a famous artist who wanders the world to paint. Ami enjoys slightly higher society because of this. She has attended formal affairs and has held herself quite fine, a cool beauty of sorts. She is also a reincarnated soldier and uses her abilities as best she can to defend her loved ones before she is willing to resort to violence. Above all else, Ami cannot tolerate knowledge and science being used for cruelty.

Pre-Existing CR: Classmates is always a good way to go, professors she likely idolized or sought constant approval from. There's also current medical center staff and scientist. While Ami is for healing and treating people, her mind is not limited to the study of one field.

AU Info: While the idol group still exists in-setting, Nozomi is actually a lot more spiritually invested in BNW than she is in OU. A member of the Fey dynasty family, she can tell the future using her cards, and, more recently, has begun to question why exactly she has this gift when her biological parents weren't Enlightened.

Character Name: Kuvira
Abandoned child who became protege to the ruler of the most advanced city in the world, and worked to be a star dancer and a Guard-Captain. Against her mentor's wishes she cast aside that life to try and restabilize her country in its turmoil, and while she had the best of intentions she started going too far.

AU Info: Here she's once of Refuge, abandoned as a child, and hiked through the desert with a Gardevoir until reaching Caldera, where she was taken in and made the protege to a powerful citizen. Against her mentor's wishes and came to Union, where... I'm not sure what should happen.

Pre-Existing CR: As a kid she and her parents meandered around. She lived in Caldera for ten years as part of an influential household, and she was with the army at some point.

Potential Connections: She may join the Rangers? She's (still) getting her bearings, she's never lived on her own before.

Blurb: Tendency to adopt as many scrappy orphans (and non-orphans) as he can hypothetically carry (that's a lot). Grumpy, pragmatic, a little formal, but friendly and with a desert dry sense of humor and a protective streak two miles wide if you get to know him. Tends to be the first one to run into danger. Capable leader.

AU Info: Thorin was a pretty high-ranking soldier in Caldera, but then he quit the military and moved to Union. He isn't planning on staying here for good, but at least for now he's sticking around. Especially now both his nephews are here too.
I don't really have a lot of plans for him! He's recuperating from 1. his first evolution and 2. the... entirety of the last event for now. After this, I want to get him more involved with everything going on in general. Ideally, I'd like for him to take up some kind of leadership position eventually.

Pre-Existing CR: Easy to work in! Easiest if you're Calderan and in some way were involved with the military. Even if not - anyone making it to Major General and surviving the siege has made some difference.
If you're from Union, the best bet is to know him via his work.
Looking for: Anything. Negative CR? Positive CR? More kids to adopt? People to mentor/look out for/be protective of? People to get culture-shocked by a whole house full of Calderans? People trying to get him to finally find someone to settle down with omg Thorin you're 50 and single??? Bring it.

Potential Connections: He's in the industrial district a lot due to work but otherwise often leaves the city for trips to explore and train and look for valuables to use or sell. I honestly can't say he's got places he frequents, exactly.

Other Info: If you're relevant to people he knows and cares about, you're probably relevant to him. So, that's Fíli, Kíli, Hayato, Taki, Yuuna, Merrill, Bilbo, Kuvira, Lucca, Lux - just about anyone he's met more than once.

Blurb: A somewhat fussy individual who has a larger-than-expected adventurous streak underneath his stodgy stay-at-home exterior. Can be rather ridiculous and is prone to putting his foot in his mouth occasionally, but is also incredibly observant and has a kind heart under all the bluster.

AU Info: Bilbo's been a librarian at the Roar of Time library for a good many years now, although recently he's been persuaded by certain individuals to venture out from behind the bookshelves and into the wilderness - and is shocked to find he's actually developing a bit of a taste for it. I don't have too many concrete plans for him other than continuing to prod his Tookish side out into the open via only slightly expected adventures and ppppposssibly ultimately winding up with him joining the Seekers or something. IDK IT'S ALL UP IN THE AIR RN REALLY.

Pre-Existing CR: Go for it! Bilbo's lived in Union a long time, and particularly if your character's ever had cause to use the library in the past, chances are they've run into Bilbo at least in passing.
Looking for: People to be terrible influences and drag him out on more adventures! Also any younger characters he can adopt get his mentor face on with. Other than that, I'm seriously up for anything, chances are if we hash something out my reaction is 99% sure to be "HELL YEAH" i welcome all kinds of CR
Potential Connections: Other than those he's already fairly well-acquainted with (so that's Yuuna, Merrill, Thorin, Kili, Ami, possibly others I'm forgetting it's late and i'm tired), there's also the library as mentioned above! Other scholars too, to an extent, particularly those concerned with history. His mother was a well-known Ranger before she vanished into the wilderness years ago, so there might be the very faintest of connections there.

Blurb: A teenaged spirit channelling prodigy, dedicated, earnest, and very hard-working. She's got an impulsive streak, but mostly comes off as a cheerful and friendly girl, albeit one who speaks rather formally.

AU Info: Pearl's AU history more or less mirrors her canon one; she's a psychic/ghost type with immense spiritual talent and the ability to channel the dead. The notable exception to the similarties is that her mother is still around to be an influence at this point in Pearl's life. Pearl's a staunch supporter of Maya as the master of the Kurain school, as well as being a fixture in Ninetales Vale. There's some hints that all may not be well between her and her mother in recent times, however...

Pre-Existing CR: Sure! Pearl was less isolated growing up in Union than she was in canon, so there's a chance that people have seen her around the city! This especially goes for anyone who might frequent the Ninetales Vale area, or anyone around Pearl's age she might be taking classes with.
Looking for: Anything! Friends, mentor characters, people who might annoy her, younger characters she can big-sister at, people she can look up to, etc.
Potential Connections: Pearl's very invested in Maya's well-being and the two cousins are very close, so there could be a connection through Maya! Other than that, Ninetales Vale obviously, potentially Versus (she takes her training very seriously), and anyone who frequents the forest or lake shrines, as these are two of Pearl's favourite haunts.

Character Name: Melaka Fray
Blurb: a tactile and headstrong gutterscum of a warrior. She's rough around the edges but loyal and determined.

AU Info: She grew up in the poorest districts of Union being raised by her older sister, with both her parents having been taken out of the picture when she was young. Then, between five and six years ago now, her twin brother Harth died when they were playing around the Old City. Now in her early 20s, she's just started to work things out with her sister, and is just getting involved in the wider world.

Pre-Existing CR: She's been in the Rangers officially for a little over a year now and was a trainee before then. She also grew up poor and I established some run ins with street fights and what not. Also her older sister is in the Swords.
Looking for: Melaka could probably use more friends and/or more set people to go out on missions with her.
Potential Connections: As I said a few times she's a Ranger. Her Jigglypuff is also working at a salvage shop selling refurbished items to other pokémon or humans that can understand them. She herself has been sniffing around for getting a new apartment.

A plot I've been thinking about for a while though would be her trying to establish some Ranger foothold base out in some more distant part of the map which people could rapidly garrison from/to as things start to expand a little more. Soem parts of the map are a little irrelevant what with the ability to warp to the cities, but still.
