Character Name: Thorin Oakenshield
Blurb: Tendency to adopt as many scrappy orphans (and non-orphans) as he can hypothetically carry (that's a lot). Grumpy, pragmatic, a little formal, but friendly and with a desert dry sense of humor and a protective streak two miles wide if you get to know him. Tends to be the first one to run into danger. Capable leader.

AU Info: Thorin was a pretty high-ranking soldier in Caldera, but then he quit the military and moved to Union. He isn't planning on staying here for good, but at least for now he's sticking around. Especially now both his nephews are here too.
I don't really have a lot of plans for him! He's recuperating from 1. his first evolution and 2. the... entirety of the last event for now. After this, I want to get him more involved with everything going on in general. Ideally, I'd like for him to take up some kind of leadership position eventually.

Pre-Existing CR: Easy to work in! Easiest if you're Calderan and in some way were involved with the military. Even if not - anyone making it to Major General and surviving the siege has made some difference.
If you're from Union, the best bet is to know him via his work.
Looking for: Anything. Negative CR? Positive CR? More kids to adopt? People to mentor/look out for/be protective of? People to get culture-shocked by a whole house full of Calderans? People trying to get him to finally find someone to settle down with omg Thorin you're 50 and single??? Bring it.

Potential Connections: He's in the industrial district a lot due to work but otherwise often leaves the city for trips to explore and train and look for valuables to use or sell. I honestly can't say he's got places he frequents, exactly.

Other Info: If you're relevant to people he knows and cares about, you're probably relevant to him. So, that's Fíli, Kíli, Hayato, Taki, Yuuna, Merrill, Bilbo, Kuvira, Lucca, Lux - just about anyone he's met more than once.

No worries! It happens, I completely understand! Especially with all that's been going on.

Hmm, well, she frequently visits Bilbo at the library, and she's a medic at the center working with pokemon and people so if Thorin gets injured, they can meet.

He's not really injury prone, and his whole household is so sturdy he doesn't really need to worry about them... His pokémon are another matter though! He might have to bring in one of them in the future, so they can meet there!

Okay, so this might be somewhat of interest to you. Lux has never really had a non-shitty father figure in her life. Her dad, a high-ranking official and council member, is kind of a jerk, and especially lately, Lux has grown a certain disliking for him due to some diplomatic tomfoolery. I would love to see these two develop a good relationship, maybe have him look out for her, etc.

What's this, more people for Thorin to dad at? YES. We're on. He inadvertedly ends up doing it all the time anyway. As soon as he realizes she can actually use someone looking out for her, he's gonna get on that.

She has quite a few friends, but the family situation isn't great. She's also not great at the serious combat situations (yet). Please dad at her all you want, Thorin.
