This meme is for people to test out new characters in the Brave New World setting! All threads within this meme can be used for the application sample requirements, a thread with one character with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a first person sample, and two threads with two different characters with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a third person sample. Both samples may be negated in this fashion. Here are a few prompts, feel free to make your own if need be! Have fun!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon, this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but it should be fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. You and your fellow trainers have discovered a peaceful field that looks like a sanctuary for Grass Pokémon. Do they leave it in peace, observe, or aggressively Befriend everything?

3. The Old City is spitting up tons of Grimer that are infesting Union. It's nasty and there is panic (and slime) in the streets! What do you do?

4. The Habitat Tower is desperately in need of help for taking care of Fire Pokemon - they need volunteers! You've been provided with some oven mitts. Good luck!

5. Oh god there's a swarm of angry Pokémon and they're all bearing down on you run away!

6. You just passed through a cave and found something marvelous. Perhaps it's a room full of brilliant crystal formations. Perhaps it's a cove to a secluded beach. Perhaps it's a large pre-war mansion buried underground but still mostly intact. What is it and what do you do?

Flynn l Steel/Normal - Prompt 1

GWOOOAAAAARRRRRR!

[Flynn's eyes narrowed at the Salamance that had appeared before them. This wasn't looking good and he didn't see any of the other Guards in sight. Happiny stood her ground beside him, but she also knew that they were woefully outmatched.

A Flamethrower came flying at them and Flynn dodged, scooping up Happiny in the process. Flynn took cover behind a wall even though it would be only temporary. He sincerely hoped that someone would come soon, otherwise...]

[Never fear! Your personal medic is here!

...Unfortunately for some reason someone had decided it would be a great idea to allow a thirteen year old boy field-medic-in-training to stand by the Guard this time around. Good for practice, they said. We never get any major threats attacking Union anyway, they said. It will be good practical experience for when you're older, they said. Lucas skids around the corner with his Eevee in his arms at the sound of the roar and pauses.]

..............Um.

[Flynn dodged a Dragon Claw that shattered the wall he had been behind. Happiny retaliated from his arms with an Egg Bomb. It exploded in the Dragon-Type's face but didn't do much damage, only serving to aggravate it more.

Flynn ran with the Pokemon in hot pursuit. The young man then came upon the young medic and his eyes widened.]

What are you doing here?!

Hel... ping.....

[His words sound even less convincing in his head than they do out loud, to be sure. Lucas continues to stare at the Salamence in abject horror for a few more moments before he seems to rouse himself to life and turns to flee.]

W-What is that?! Why is it so close to Union?

I don't know.

[Whether he's talking about the Pokemon or why it is here isn't clear. The only thing that was clear was that it was angry, it was strong, and it needed to be dealt with.]

[Lucas continues to run in silence for a moment or two longer before he suddenly skids to a halt.]

We've got to get it away from the city.

[Their connection is stronger than mere words alone, although it's probably still a little alarming when Lucas throws Eevee towards the Salamence.]

Close your eyes!

[A cloud of sand billows from Eevee as it flies through the air, making it nearly impossible to see. In the meantime, Lucas has suddenly transformed into a pyrotechnics display as his entire body comes aglow with flashing cyan lights - This is soon the only thing visible in the Sand Attack - or at least, the most obviously visible thing. With any luck, the Salamence would hone in on it.]

This way!

[And he begins to dart out away from the walls.]

[Flynn and Happiny both watched the display and the Salamance followed Lucas as he ran. There was a brief beat in which Flynn had froze, but when he came to his senses, he followed where the two had gone off to.

He wouldn't let the kid die.]

[Lucas's plan had worked great for baiting the Salamence away, it seemed, but he had failed to account for the 'not dying' part. Eevee bounds back up into his arms as he runs towards the forests - hopefully, the trees would provide him some cover. The sand is beginning to disperse now, as well.]

Can you hit it with Baby Doll Eyes?

[Eevee obliges by squinting at the Salamence from some distance away, although who knows if this is at all effective. In the meantime, the lights surrounding Lucas begin to slowly spread away from his body, blinking in and out. ...Maybe Salamence would follow one of them instead.]

[Sure enough, Salamance is affected by the move and it attacks with much less force this time around. Still, a Dragon Claw is sure to leave a nasty wound if it hits and it swings at a cluster of lights.]

Aaaah!

[Lucas dives out of the way, and Eevee bounces out of his arms as Salamence slashes. It misses - this time - but since they're still in an open area, it probably doesn't take long to regain its momentum. Lucas, on the other hand, is a little hobbled now as he's twisted his ankle a bit, but he picks himself up and continues to run.

The lights coalesce now into a shining barrier to stand in Salamence's way as he flees - not Barrier, but one of Lucas's personal abilities. ...It might stop it for maybe 5 seconds, given that three strikes will knock it down.]

[The Salamance roars loudly again and gives chase to Lucas, sending a Dragonsbreath attack in his direction. It hits the shield and spreads out on contact, trying to eat it's way through.

Flynn comes up behind him and Happiny leaps from his arms while he grabs his weapon, his left arm becoming coated in a steel gauntlet. The small Normal-Type uses Copycat and unleashes her own Dragonsbreath, hitting the Salamance right in the back. It shrieks in pain and tumbles out of the air and onto the ground.]

[Tumbling to the ground is definitely a good thing. Lucas continues to run, though, because a grounded dragon is probably only marginally less dangerous than a flying dragon.

When he reaches the relative safety of the trees, he turns back and throws out a hand, flickers of light running up and down his body once again.

What proceeds to happen is somewhat inexplicable, but it seems to involve a lot of psychodelic cyan diamonds, seizure-inducing flashes, and perhaps a momentary mental buzzing in Flynn's mind as if something has just brushed past it. The Salamence, on the other hand, would be receiving the full brunt of the psychic assault.]

[Flynn does twitch from the feeling of having something brush against his mind, but the Salamance has it worse. It shrieks and thrashes about on the ground, bringing its forelegs up to rub at its head. The guard draws in close and takes a swing at it with his left arm that is holding his weapon. A loud crack follows and the dragon slams to the ground once more.]

[Lucas will back further towards the trees now - the light show doesn't die off completely, though, as they next begin to swarm about Flynn.]

I'm going to add my strength to yours...!

[This probably doesn't sound very useful given that Lucas's strength is likely to be negligible, but a one stage increase in Attack is probably desirable, nonetheless.]

[Flynn will feel the surge of strength that accompanies Lucas's Attack Up. In the meantime, given that there wasn't much else it could do, Eevee fixes another Baby Doll Eyes on the downed Salamence, though it probably wasn't even paying attention to it at the moment.]

[It helped and he landed the last blow on the Salamance.]

[Lucas carefully leaves the tree cover as Flynn strikes the latest blow.]

[He edges a little closer and breathes a slight sigh of relief now.]

We have to bring it back to where it belongs, though...

I think we're probably going to need more people.

[Sheathing his weapon, he turns to Lucas.]

Do you know where any of the others are?

[An awkward pause.]

I was, um, coming to find you because I think everyone was going on lunch break.

[He takes a deep breath, his hand coming up to meet his face and groans. Of all the times the others had to have taken their break...]

[Lucas bites his lower lip and rubs at the back of his head.]

I-I can go get them!
