Test run meme!

This meme is for people to test out new characters in the Brave New World setting! All threads within this meme can be used for the application sample requirements, a thread with one character with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a first person sample, and two threads with two different characters with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a third person sample. Both samples may be negated in this fashion. Here are a few prompts, feel free to make your own if need be! Have fun!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon, this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but it should be fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. You and your fellow trainers have discovered a peaceful field that looks like a sanctuary for Grass Pokémon. Do they leave it in peace, observe, or aggressively Befriend everything?

3. The Old City is spitting up tons of Grimer that are infesting Union. It's nasty and there is panic (and slime) in the streets! What do you do?

4. The Habitat Tower is desperately in need of help for taking care of Fire Pokemon - they need volunteers! You've been provided with some oven mitts. Good luck!

5. Oh god there's a swarm of angry Pokémon and they're all bearing down on you run away!

6. You just passed through a cave and found something marvelous. Perhaps it's a room full of brilliant crystal formations. Perhaps it's a cove to a secluded beach. Perhaps it's a large pre-war mansion buried underground but still mostly intact. What is it and what do you do?

Wow, gross.

[Now, John is happily the friend of a very affectionate and somewhat slimy Goomy. It takes a lot of slime to gross out John.]

[This is entirely too much slime.]

[Also the panic is definitely not a good thing either. Geez, this is really becoming a problem. Maybe he should call the others. In the mean time he is going to work on calming people, and getting them to vacate the streets. Don't mind as he runs up to you and tries to usher you inside and away from the congregating Grimer.]

[Miranda Fallow - Taillow shifter, dark haired, dark eyed, brown, I need to find a PB - flits about in her Pokemon-shape. The Hydregion below keeps one eye on her as it bites the trunk of the old Oran Berry tree repeatedly, splintering the wood, almost offhandedly swallowing the Weedle that were under the bark. The branches tremble.

gdit old Berry trees are a valuable resource and there shouldn't be any three-headed dragons in the area anyway. Maybe Hydregion blew in with a storm?]

[This has been an amazing adventure so far and it continues to astound. This field is everything the historian could dream of, watching Pokemon he's never seen before frolic. This is so cool.

He can take notes for his book later; right now he has friends to make.

Without much caution, he's walking up to an unsuspecting Parasect, rummaging in his bag for his lunch. Maybe he can share! Maybe this Parasect likes cookies too!]

*Imogen wasn't entirely sure why a Delver was needed this far outside the city. The Old City was more her thing... while the forests were really nice to look at they didn't have the stuff she usually worked in. Like... elaborate broken transport systems or weird teleporty things.*

Oh wooooow. This is amazing!

*Imogen dashed forward, blurring and fading slightly in her excitement. A proper lab, like... one of the ones from the old days. It wasn't completely intact, but so much of it seemed to have slipped underground that there had to be some stuff still working down there. Imogen was already trying to figure out the best way down.*

Definitely glad I got out bed for this! There has to be something good down there! Help me find a way in!!!

3 - [Elsa groaned as she shook her gloved hand, sending grimer goo splattering on the ground by her feet and onto her already mucky shoes. The disgusting creatures were everywhere today, and she was have absolutely no luck getting away from them.]

[Her snorunt bumped against her leg, and drew her attention to another...swarm...of the vile pokemon charging towards them, and Elsa threw her hand out.]

Use Icy Wind.

[Her pokemon obliged, and a swirl of cold wind whipped up around both of them and shot across towards the swarming gooey things, slowing them down in their charge. Well that bought them a second at least. ...Now what?]

6 - [The cave had been surprisingly uneventful, aside from a few wild pokemon attacks, but Elsa was still thrilled to see the gleam of light that meant they were almost to the exit. No matter how pleasantly cold it was, she was never going to enjoy being underground.]

[So she hurried towards the light and stepped out into a large, circular inlet with a gleaming yellow beach and tall, mountainous walls. At the far side there was a half-collapsed cave that had probably once led out to the ocean...and on the beach, half-turned on its side...was what looked like a ship. A fancy ship, one like she had never seen before, leaning on its side and covered in rust but mostly intact...]

[She immediately turned back towards the cave, calling to her companion.]

You have to come see this!

[Whatever it is, it must be valuable! Leaping into the air, Dedede (not a great, big bird, but a rotund, blue-haired man having decorated his uniform extravagantly) skips and hops his way towards the shine at the end of the cave. This was supposed to be an investigative assignment that he as a city admin happened to be tasked with inspecting. What turned into a boring evening out in the wilderness turned out to be opportunity.]

A shine so bright, it's my ticket to the high(er) life! Fortune, wealth, respect, I'll finally have it!

[Midway through, he stops, realizing... oh, right. You were there too. He gives you a dirty look, complete with a false smile.]

... Of. Of course, whatever we find will be... appropriated... reported to the civil. Authorities. Did you want a cut of this?

[Oven mitts. Margot scoffs in the face of oven mitts. Being a Fire Enlightened has some seriously awesome perks.

Helping doesn't mean she can't have fun.

Because she's going to have fun.

Snickering to herself, she glances at some of the other volunteers as sneakily as she can (which isn't very much at all.) If they don't know her already, then this prank is going to be gold.

With deep concentration, she lights her hands and forearms on fire, puts on her most despairing face, takes a deep breath, turns, and starts running towards them while yelling.]

SHIT, I'M ON FIRE!

[.... Ugh. This was going to be a real pain. Naturally Reimu couldn't really stay out of this even if she'd wanted to, so she was going down to help get rid of the infestation.

The problem with this was that her Fairy typing would probably make this more difficult due to the Grimer's Poison, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. She was pretty good at dodging and making shields after all, and it wasn't like she'd be alone out here.

So there she was, flying over the chaos with her Eevee (who the mun hasn't named yet) on her shoulder and a pair of Yin Yang Orbs slowly rotating around her.

She sighed.]

Well, I guess we'd better get started...

[With that the young priestess flew forward to start sorting things out.]

[Not much is known about the new chief librarian. Only that she gained her position by challenging the old librarian to a duel when he stood in the way of her cryptic projects, and that she is fascinated in relics from the old age. The old library has seen more activity in the month or two since he took over than it had in the past decade!]

No problemo, I'll try talking to them. See if I can clear a path, you know?

[Beast Boy dissolves into the green slime of a Ditto without another word and then reforms as an Ivysaur, which turns to start waddling off into the grass.]

Far from running for her life, Morgiana has planted herself between the on coming herd and a group of children.

One of the badguy's minions has come to stop you from ruining his plans. This is not a pokemon, however, but a young girl with pink hair and shackles about her ankles. She steps in the way of your path and raises her fists in a fighting stance.

"I'm sorry, but this is as far as you go."

Physically, the very idea of such a small person trying to stop you should seem laughable, but there's something in her eyes that makes you nervous.

[You know what would be really helpfull in this situation? Not wearing a dress of the bustle variety, that's what. Look, it had been a public picnic, and certainly no one had expected a sudden hoard of Scraggy to appear. And now there's a problem as large as life, because his Psychic moves won't work, and while Flying moves would be effective, they require a certain amount of mobility which the aforementioned dress will not allow.

He is trying to rid himself of the skirt, but it turns out that silk woven from pokemon using string shot? It's pretty tough stuff. Leaving him stranded in the face of the approaching pokémon as people flee around him.]

Does anybody know Cut?

Backstory info here! I wrote the prompt in commentspam, but I'd actually appreciate if any resulting threads could be in prose, so I can get third person samples.

[Someone here is in high nerd heaven, that's what. He's fumbling his notebooks a little in his rush to document everything he lays eyes on, emitting a bit of his own glow to illuminate the dark chamber. From his shoulder, Ralts makes a small noise and points towards another corner of the room, and they skitter off to investigate. Ondorus isn't being very careful...

Though it's half-entombed in a solid bank of soil and stone, the ruin is unmistakably some kind of institutional building - concrete, not stone, squat and square in its construction. It looks very old. It smells very old, too.]

7?. [open to anything! refer to WIP app for backstory - Ondorus is a Historian who spends most of his time in the University, but of course can be found elsewhere on everyday business.]

GWOOOAAAAARRRRRR!

[Flynn's eyes narrowed at the Salamance that had appeared before them. This wasn't looking good and he didn't see any of the other Guards in sight. Happiny stood her ground beside him, but she also knew that they were woefully outmatched.

A Flamethrower came flying at them and Flynn dodged, scooping up Happiny in the process. Flynn took cover behind a wall even though it would be only temporary. He sincerely hoped that someone would come soon, otherwise...]

[ Do you know what sucks? This sucks. She was in the area and took up the call to arms to fend off the big piles of goo, but being a fighting type elightened doesn't help a lot for fighting the poison type goo and neither does the ax she happens to be using now - because said goo is, well, goo. But she is trying to hardest! And her hits do sometimes splatter the goo everywhere! But grimers are a chargin' her position and it's grody ]

[ BUT WHY THO. Well become she needs money and reputation both and she's gotten used to doing odd jobs over the years. But still, in her present situation she is trying to take care of some Darumaka and really, the worst of it is that the things keep pooping. And the poop is super hot and that's just pretty much disgusting, even if it is solid by poo standards and doesn't smell much ~~or at least I hope it doesn't what with the dex entries about their poop~~

Also they're rambunctious. While she was meant to be nurturing or something, within an out Mel is using her own impressive speed and strength to try to "tire them out" ... in the form of battling them into being being tired.]

[ You know, she usually gets by okay with herself (still no partners and all) but since she started exploring the outside... well she still got by pretty okay because she's always been very strong. But now, she's being born down on by a small horde of angry looking clefairies. And right now, her typing is not working in he favor. At all.

I'm still working working out the details of Mel's history (you can help me here if you want to be a part of it) but I figure she was orphaned pretty early along with a brother, who is now dead or missing or something. She mostly dead-end kid'd it up with odd jobs and rambunctious youth until the last few years after her brother went missing or die or something and now with the help but some mentor guy I still haven't figured out she's found some new purpose and gotten a warp band. So base it on that... if you want!! ]

[The blue haired young man is tending to a Ponyta, petting it's muzzle with mitted hands. While he's working, he's singing a wordless lullaby quietly, the pokemon slowly drifting off to sleep]

[While some pokemon are more notorious for a love of shiny things then others, all do have a fondness for things that glitter and sparkle. This Swablu is flitting through the caves, hopping from one pile of flat, shiny discs to another, occasionally picking up bits of jewelry that's spilling out of the mounds of rusted metal boxes.

Apparently this cave used to be some kind of bank. Once Kaito found a large strand of big pearls, he wrapped it around himself and tries to fly out the way he came, but the pearls were just too big.

He wiggled. He squirmed, then let out a loud, distressed cry as he realized that he's stuck]
