This meme is for people to test out new characters in the Brave New World setting! All threads within this meme can be used for the application sample requirements, a thread with one character with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a first person sample, and two threads with two different characters with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a third person sample. Both samples may be negated in this fashion. Here are a few prompts, feel free to make your own if need be! Have fun!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon, this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but it should be fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. You and your fellow trainers have discovered a peaceful field that looks like a sanctuary for Grass Pokémon. Do they leave it in peace, observe, or aggressively Befriend everything?

3. The Old City is spitting up tons of Grimer that are infesting Union. It's nasty and there is panic (and slime) in the streets! What do you do?

4. The Habitat Tower is desperately in need of help for taking care of Fire Pokemon - they need volunteers! You've been provided with some oven mitts. Good luck!

5. Oh god there's a swarm of angry Pokémon and they're all bearing down on you run away!

6. You just passed through a cave and found something marvelous. Perhaps it's a room full of brilliant crystal formations. Perhaps it's a cove to a secluded beach. Perhaps it's a large pre-war mansion buried underground but still mostly intact. What is it and what do you do?

[Wow, he is so done with this evening all together. He's been dressed up, not to put too fine a point to it, like a piece of rare meat, apparently to show off that he can be all proper to Lux' family. There has been too much elbowing in sides and steered conversation. There has been too much crusty nobles laughing at each others' unfunny jokes.

At least me manages to sneak away for a while, finding Lux standing in the garden. Perhaps she needed a breather too.]

What's a girl like you doing in a place like this~? [Sorry, his sense of humor is pretty strange, but his smile is unguarded and bright.]

[Having made an excuse almost a half hour ago that she was going to get something for her betrothed, it felt good to get a breath of fresh, early evening air. It was likely that she would be pulled back in soon enough, the joke made that she had a better head for books than dinner parties--and, much later, a bit of a tongue-lashing for disrespecting her future family--then things would proceed as normal until the heads of the household, after drinking enough, grew tired and went their separate ways.

Sitting on a small yet ornate bench, hand idly ruffling the fluff of one of her father's growlithes, she looked up suddenly when she heard Fai, expression first that of alarm, but quickly fading to something of a knowing smile before she drew her hand back into her lap.

I see that you had much the same idea.

[He grimaces lightly, trying to loosen the starched collar of his shirt a bit, and saunters over to take a seat beside her. If feels good to breathe some cool night air; by the old Gods, he hates stuffy rooms and not being able to see the sky all evening. It is much more comfortable to be able to feel the wind, fluctuating softly around him like a living thing.]

My grandfather was trying to give me advice on 'wooing the young girl like a real man'. I had to get away before my brain started trickling out of my ears. [He laughs a bit awkwardly.] Remind me to learn how to fold them down like an espurr for the next time.

[That got a bit of a giggle out of the teen, who quickly brought a hand up to somewhat disguise it.]

Oh, I see. If memory serves, your grandfather was quite the charmer in his young age.

[Or, at least, he believed himself to be, and reminded both her family and his, to mixed reactions, of how much of a lady slayer he was. At length. Lux rather liked his grandfather because of those stories, actually; they were a nice break from the usual stuffy conversation.]

I doubt that even that would save you, I'm afraid. You know how they get when they start in on each other, your father and mine.

[That's dry enough that the mere presence of fire might've caused him to burst into flames ~~not that he needs much help with that anyway~~. It's amazing how many people get weak in the knees at the sight of a fat wallet - and that's as far as Fai imagines the legendary charm goes.

Now he giggles too, curling a knee to his chest and wrapping an arm around it.]

The cognac has been flowing freely all evening, and they are reliving childhood adventures. Sometimes, I think that the best ways of tying the families together would be for them to get married - I'm sure mother wouldn't mind. Would yours?

[Getting a bit of a mischievous smirk on her face, the other blond looks up, deep in thought.]

Perhaps. What are your father's feelings on dueling?

[That makes him roll his eyes a little bit, amused. After all, the Flourites are such a political family that they've got bureaucracy coming out of every orifice.]

Oh, you know how it is. Usually we're far too good to dirty our hands with something as tawdry as that, unless it's a matter between respectable nobles. Then it's acceptable to enjoy it, but not to be enthusiastic.

That simply won't do, then. For you see, my mother will only marry a man that can best her in battle, and that rarely ever happens.

[Because the Crownguards are hardcore like that.]

You know, that is a little bit of a hindrance. Unless of course my mother could be able to stand in, since she's a far better dueller than father ever was.

[Some days, he's really wondering why his mother would marry into the Flourites of all people. And then he rememebers that she actually fell in love with her fiancé. Welp.]

I think I might like to see that, our mothers dueling.

[His eyes gleam a bit, and he nods.]

Oh yes, so would I. It would probably be very- [Don't say "hot", not even as a very tasteless joke, it might embarrass her. Argh, think of something better to say.] -interesting.

...Do you think they'll be very cross if we go for a walk?

[Yes, please do not make passes at your future mother-in-law, Fai ~~despite the fact that she's a MILF~~, it's a bit awkward.]

They are likely cross with me already, for being gone so long. A short walk likely wouldn't change things.

[He will bravely refrain from it, just because he respects Lux that much. He is just way too fond of really awkward and inappropriate jokes, and that occasionally becomes a problem.]

Fair point, there. Yuui is probably going to cover for me for a while, at least, so that might buy some more time. [He bounces to his feet, and then politely offers her his arm.] My lady~.

[Lux looks up and smiles warmly toward the other blond, standing and taking his arm.] My lord.
