This meme is for people to test out new characters in the Brave New World setting! All threads within this meme can be used for the application sample requirements, a thread with one character with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a first person sample, and two threads with two different characters with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a third person sample. Both samples may be negated in this fashion. Here are a few prompts, feel free to make your own if need be! Have fun!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon, this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but it should be fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. You and your fellow trainers have discovered a peaceful field that looks like a sanctuary for Grass Pokémon. Do they leave it in peace, observe, or aggressively Befriend everything?

3. The Old City is spitting up tons of Grimer that are infesting Union. It's nasty and there is panic (and slime) in the streets! What do you do?

4. The Habitat Tower is desperately in need of help for taking care of Fire Pokemon - they need volunteers! You've been provided with some oven mitts. Good luck!

5. Oh god there's a swarm of angry Pokémon and they're all bearing down on you run away!

6. You just passed through a cave and found something marvelous. Perhaps it's a room full of brilliant crystal formations. Perhaps it's a cove to a secluded beach. Perhaps it's a large pre-war mansion buried underground but still mostly intact. What is it and what do you do?

[ They've been in the cave for a while. It isn't Evan's type of scene, but work is work and she's always eager to see new places. Also, caves are the antithesis of height and it means nothing will snatch her up and drag her into the air like she so irrationally fears.

So, it's more or less a win. It isn't until Charming, her little Eevee friend, begins to chitter quietly about some sort of breeze around them that Evan realizes there might definitely be more in this cave than some plain ol' rock formations. ]

Do you smell that? Air. It's moving around, right?

[omnommajor]

[He looks to her for a moment before shaking his head.]

Can't say I smell anything. But I definitely hear something. Rather subtle, though.

[evolutionaire]

Let's follow it. Charming, do you think...?

[ He cuts her off, giving an affirmative noise and ambling off ahead to lead them. Evan turns to give Boyd a grin. ]

This way. It's... oh. [ Charming disappears through a small crevice. An absolute cinch for an Eevee to make, but it's going to be somewhat more difficult for a pair of humanoids. ]

[She may have noticed the strange, slightly blue tinge to his skin, but he doesn't make any comment at the moment, instead watching where the Eevee is going intently.

The hope is too big for him, but he also doesn't want to shift suddenly.]

Is there another way?

[ Nothing is really strange to her in the world of pokémon and enlightened, to be honest. It's all just varying shades of different, and Evan appreciates difference to an almost disgusting degree. ]

Might be... Might not be. Charming! [ She kneels down by the opening, leaning in sideways to poke her torso through it. There's an audible gasp as she sees what is on the other side. ] Oh... Wow, are you sure you can't fit in this way, Mr. Boyd?

[He shakes his head.]

It's too big.

That Eevee is the only one small enough.

[Why did it have to be fire? Ives wasn't exactly fond of it and he's still not quite sure how he got dragged into this. Well, thankfully there's a Boyd around for him to manipulate into doing this for him.]

Now Boyd, I believe that taking care of these fire Pokemon would be an excellent use of your talents.

[He stares.]

And do all the work while you do nothing?

[He seems almost hurt by that.]

I would do no such thing. I merely have some slight disadvantages that make you the better choice for this. Which is why I would assist elsewhere instead of here.

[Boyd has been around him too long to trust that look at all.]

Afraid you'll get burnt?

[This is the curse of familiarity.]

That's ridiculous. It'd take far more than the likes of them to cause any sort of concern like that.

Are you giving me an order?

I don't make it a habit to risk my neck for you anymore.

[His answer? No.]

You make it sound like we're still partners.

You make it sound as if we're not.

We're not. We haven't been for a long time.

Both of us coming here is a coincidence.

Because you ran away? Now now, if our partnership ended every time you decided to act as childish as that, we would have never been partners in the first place.

Coincidence has nothing to do with our arrival.

[Who knows which part Ives is answering with that.]

[At heart, Boyd is very much something that eats anything he can hunt.

It's true that Ives is the same way, but...]

[Hearing that makes Ives chuckle softly.]

You're fooling yourself if you believe that.

You and I are far more alike than you'd ever like to admit. And one day, you will return to my side once more.
