This meme is for people to test out new characters in the Brave New World setting! All threads within this meme can be used for the application sample requirements, a thread with one character with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a first person sample, and two threads with two different characters with at least 10 comments from your character can be used in place of a third person sample. Both samples may be negated in this fashion. Here are a few prompts, feel free to make your own if need be! Have fun!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon, this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but it should be fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. You and your fellow trainers have discovered a peaceful field that looks like a sanctuary for Grass Pokémon. Do they leave it in peace, observe, or aggressively Befriend everything?

3. The Old City is spitting up tons of Grimer that are infesting Union. It's nasty and there is panic (and slime) in the streets! What do you do?

4. The Habitat Tower is desperately in need of help for taking care of Fire Pokemon - they need volunteers! You've been provided with some oven mitts. Good luck!

5. Oh god there's a swarm of angry Pokémon and they're all bearing down on you run away!

6. You just passed through a cave and found something marvelous. Perhaps it's a room full of brilliant crystal formations. Perhaps it's a cove to a secluded beach. Perhaps it's a large pre-war mansion buried underground but still mostly intact. What is it and what do you do?

[ With one arm and her feet supporting her on the climb up, she takes the thing, pops it open, and down it. It is a little silly to trust it just like that, but... hey, the guy saved her bacon. With that done, and a mutter of "thanks" she just finishes up the climb, because really it wasn't that much further anyway. She's a little winded (but not that much) after al the action, the minor poisoning, and the climb up but hey. It's the feel good sort of it]

Maybe the airhead things's why you float.

[He follows her to the ledge and rather daintily touches down, laughing at the suggestion.]

Very probable. I've noticed that when you're an airhead, people always keep telling you to get your feet on the ground.

That was pretty amazing, the way you just dove in there. Must've been pretty hard to breathe, though.

[ ... Snort. Okay, that was good]

Yeah - well... I fig if I can't manage that much, how'm I gonna fight some stronger poison type later. [ She's got to adapt, just like everyone else. Not to mention, she does have that guy who she's got to keep up with... but that's a whole other thing.

She ends up sitting there, letting it all air out. Oh, sweet air in her lungs... ]

[He seems to greatly approve of this answer, and nods enthusiastically.]

That's a really good attitude to have. I mean, there is no way of getting stronger if you don't do something.

[Then he waves - flails, really - his arms dismissively and laughs.]

And well, I'm not nearly as sturdy as you are, frail little thing that I am, so I kind of have to get a bit tricky about things, right?

Stands to reason, yeah. [ Though a part of her wonders how true that is. Oh, she knows she's strong, but it's not like she's developed a ton of techniques beyond "hit things really hard and take a lot of damage yourself, but endure it" ... Nor does she have any partners, despite recently getting this warp band]

... Gotta name?

[The only pokemon companion he has around at the time is a Flabébé, which is only now poking its head out of his sleeve and making a face down at the slimy mess left behind. Poison is so gross after all. And Fai isn't good at enduring just about anything, if he'd been down there in the mess with her, he would've keeled over like a wilting flower within a minute at most.

Now he holds out his hand to her, beaming.]

Fai Flourite. [He says that last name rather quick because urgh, noble family, so embarrassing.] And what about you, knight in mucky armor? [See what he did there? Muk-y.]

Harr. [ What a name, even she knows that name. She tilts her head and offers him a hand without standing. There, will you take her hand which still has a little bit of purple slime on it. Will you? ... Come to think of it, she lost her ax at the end there. She'll have to go back and get it ]

Melaka Fray.

[Look at the face of the Pained Teenager. Just look at it. But then again it quickly disappears into a smile and yes, he most definitely will still take her hand and shake it vigorously. Seems Magical Coat is still in effect, thankfully, since the slime almost immediately slides off him.]

A pleasure to meet you, Miss Fray. [All polite and correct here.] What do you normally do when you're not ridding the streets of diseased slime, then?

Dunno, I feel like I do this a lot. [A joke. She shakes his hand as well, but is careful not to apply too much pressure. He seems more fragile, after all. Once the shake is done, she gets to her feet via getting into a crouch and then literally springing back. ... She wonders if poison stuff</> got in her hair. It probably did, she should wash that... soon ]

But no, odd jobs. I've been earning my keep.

[He snorts with ungracious laughter, and then bounces up next to Melaka, falling into step with her.]

Huh, that's pretty cool. [No really, to him it's pretty cool that she's had any job at all, since his parents believe in slow grooming. And the concept of earning your own keep... seems pretty wonderful to him.] I guess you can tell I've basically only been going to school and painting my own toenails, right?

I can tell your boots prob cost more than my whole outfit.

[ ... That was a little insulting. Err ] ... 'Course, you held your own with the lasers there. So props for that.

[He just smiles, rather unperturbed by that remark, because well, it's the truth.]

Having a rich family has its perks, it would be silly to deny that. [He beams.] And thank you, that's sweet of you. I'm glad I had an advantage, though, otherwise things might've been a bit more hairy.

Yeah, imagine if it was a pack of Houndour. You'd be screwed.

[ Or so she assumes based on him saying he had an "advantage" Simple type theory. ]
