When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you. While not required, we also encourage you to take a look at the most recent AU Planning post.
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 After the events in Union, the settlement of Refuge has decided to make the Shattering a more public affair. People who were impacted by the tragedies that befell the city, or those who wish to pay respects to a lost family member are encouraged to either send a Litwick off into the caves, or go off to find one. Who knows, you may find something out about yourself--or about the others around you.
#2 The Medical Center in Union is in need of volunteers, and has sent out a call. But it's not because of what you might think. The weather has been surprisingly warm this time of year, and because of it, a number of Pokémon have decided to, um, fix the population discrepancy that the Elite Four's attack has caused. Baby 'mon have overrun the Breeding Center, and many have found their way at the Medical Center for overflow. There are going to be a lot of diapers that need changing...
#3 With the warm weather hinting at a full return, flocks of Pokémon have begun their northern migration back into the Verdant Forest and beyond. Unfortunately, a few of the wild Flying-type breeds are less than respectful of old monuments, and the Lake and Forest Shrine have received a few unwanted guests making a mess. Shooing them off only seems to anger them, and the Shrines are filthy as a result of their visit. Ugh, will these rude Pokémon ever leave?!
#4 After the attack from the Elite Four, help has been filtering in from all parts of the known world. As a result, a number of temporary food carts have opened up in the business district of Union. Workers have to eat, right? This is a perfect time to expand your palette, but be warned, some of the delicacies can be a bit... eclectic, we'll say. Eat at your own risk.
#5 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!
Cyan | Show By Rock!! | Everything else TBA probably Fairy of some kind
[It was dark and she was lost and the little light pokemon she'd been following wandered off without her. The dark was bad, the dark was where scary things came out to do terrible things to you. She didn't like the dark.]
[Also Strawberry Heart, her guitar, was conviniently silent, offering none of his usual advice.]
[What was she to do? Curl up in a ball and try not to freak out, clearly.]
Help me...
[5]
[Union was a nice place so far, but being alone and in a new place was tricky. Especially if you had no money. So, Cyan could be found sitting on the edge of a fountain. In her hands is a fascinating looking guitar. Even more curious was the music she played. Bouncy rock n roll was probably pretty unheard of to Union. For her situation, she seems to be in pretty good spirits, smiling and bopping her head as she plays, her black cat-like tail swishing back and forth.]
[If you like it please drop her a tip in her guitar case that would be awesome. She's hungry.]

[ Someone heard the word help! And here he comes, barrelling through the tunnel for the source. Someone is here. Here, away from the rest of the people! They must really be in trouble, and this is his chance to finally prove that he can -
- trip over a rock and go flying at her out of nowhere, apparently. Look out! ] Eeeee!
[ A faint voice down in the darkness can barely be heard saying "oi..." ]
Re: 1
[What was... Oh god, what was that? She barely has the time to react before it comes flying at her.]
Kyaaaah!!
[She's being attacked!!]
no subject
He is busy trying to figure out how to untangle himself and apologize at the same time - lots of "jolt" ing, both aloud and literally (sorry), when more footsteps - and an actual lantern - approach. ] Sorry! Did he trip?
no subject
[She's trying to pull away to see what- oh it was just another pokemon...? She starts apologizing, too up until she sees the light.]
[!! A light!! She was saved! Maybe. She fusses with the end of her skirt, ears back.]
Um- just into me, I think. Sorry.
no subject
[ The lantern bobs closer - it's being held by a person. A kneeling person.
An impossibly handsome kneeling person whose concerned eyes are now sweeping the length of Cyan's body, checking for scrapes and bruises. ] I can't apologize enough. Caves are dangerous even without interference....
[ Gold slinks back, ears down, to go pretend to be a rock or something. He feels awful. ]
no subject
[Blinking she turns scarlet and shakes her head, trying again.]
N-No, it's okay. I think I'm fine, nya.
[Crap she meowed. Why did she do that the most when she was flustered. slkjfalf]
no subject
[ She smiles. Why are there rose petals. There are rose petals now. ]
no subject
I-I...um. G-Got lost.
[She quickly looks back down at her skirt fidgeting with it.]
Nya, [Agh!] the litwick I was following... It wandered off I-I hope it's okay.
[But she is also very lost here.]
no subject
[ She offers Cyan a hand. ] Can you stand?
no subject
[She looks up and- oh yeah, she was ...definitely still on the ground. She shuffles her legs under her and takes Haruka's hands.]
Thank you.
[And she will smile! before she checks to make sure the guitar on her back is in good shape.]
no subject
[ Since you're lost. Haruka can't say she's been keeping track of where she is, either, but her instincts tend to be pretty good about this stuff. ]
no subject
[She looks kind of sheepish, tail moving nervously.]
I think I'd like to head back.
[That was enough excitement for now.]
You wouldn't happen to know which way I should go would you...?
[Because she's not expecting Haruka to just drop everything and show her out that would be really inconvenient.]

And a small part of him hoped that the litte litwicks would find the spirits of his departed brothers and sisters in the abyss of the undead and the unknown, and give them his wishes of their well being and his feelings of being alone-- for he had never actually met his 'siblings', just read records of their existance.
But a faint human voice was the last thing he expected to hear in these caverns, and he quietly searched out the source until he found her. Curled up in a ball as she was, she seemed to be no more than a lost little skitty...and the fuzzy ears upon her head only reinforced that observation.
Stifling a chuckle of amusement, the slender young man knelt down before the girl and offered out a hand.]
Are you lost? I can help you find your way out.
[The strange, almost ethereal sparkle about him in the darkness could be attributed to either his Fairy or Ghost typing. This girl...she had no place in the darkness.]
1
[Oh-! It was an actual person. Maybe. She really hoped so, anyway. She looks up at him for a moment before looking at his hand. She takes it.]
I-. The litwick I was following ...it wandered off without me. I-I'm not sure where I am.

They're tricky little things, aren't they? Legend has it that they like to lead people astray...but don't worry. We're still not too far from the city.
no subject
Ah... I thought maybe I wasn't walking fast enough...
[Ok but if it just left her on purpose that's super rude.]
We're not? Oh, that's so good to hear.
[Thank goodness. She didn't want to be lost here forever.]
no subject
Be glad you did lose it, though-- legend also says that they like to feed off their victim's life energy.
[And, as if there was nothing creepy at all about what he said, he started to pull the girl along through the cavern back to the city.]
Which means, in a way, that the lights we see in these caves really are the souls of the lost. It's kind of sad...but kind of beautiful at the same time.
no subject
W-What! That's ... That's not very nice and also really... really..
[screee, was she almost a lost soul that horrifying.]
no subject
[Scree all you want-- perhaps, as a ghost type, he was somewhat immune to that kind of fear.]
But they're just legends, probably made to keep naughty kids in their bedrooms at night. I'm sure we don't need to worry about it.
no subject
[She will calm down though.]
Are they? That's ...good, n-nya....
[She was already pretty frazzled so it's not like it would take much to send her into a panic while they were still wondering the tunnels.]
no subject
But he would spare her that conversation while they were following the darkened passageways, even if she was cute when she was scared.]
It is. We're pretty lucky, aren't we?
[He flashed her a smile, still holding her hand as he guided her through the caverns back to the city.]
Why are you down here, anyway? You don't look very comfortable underground.
no subject
[To his question she looks up again.]
Ah- I wanted ...to see if I could learn something about myself...
no subject
What did you think you were going to learn?
no subject
[And she says that pretty thoughtfully.]
Anything would be nice, I think. I'm not picky.
