This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications. For your convenience, we've provided a few prompts, but feel free to make your own!

1) Spring is in the air, and with it, a sudden influx of flying and bug-type Pokémon. Insert bad jokes here.

2) What is with this wacky weather anyway? One end of town, it's blistering hot, the other, it's snowing? And is that a rain cloud following that chap there? Hmm.

3) Mating season Two raging Rhyhorns are butting heads outside of the city, and their mood seems to be washing over the other Pokémon around. Things are going to get nasty if someone doesn't break this up!

4) One of the Bunnelby in the breeding center has been hiding eggs! Oh no! Those poor babies, won't someone please think of the children? Also some of them might be chocolate for some strange reason, we aren't quite sure why.

5) The grass-types are happy that it's spring! A little too happy! We hope you don't have allergies :(

6) Wildcard! Make up your own!

Uuugh, I hate this!

[Luke is wandering around town shaking out his hair every so often. The pollen and dust in the air is getting stuck in his red locks and he could smell it and feel it and it was gross! Shaking his hair was just making it worse though, spreading it in the air around him...]

Stupid Flower Pokemon... A...a achoo!



[He wipes his nose on the back of his glove and huffs out a breath. At least his asthma wasn't as bad as when he was a kid. That would be the worst. He kicks a nearby bench in anger at the whole situation before seeing a fancy boutique nearby and deciding to take cover in there. His Eevee Mieu runs along behind him as always, Veeing worriedly. Trying to play it off as if nothing was wrong, he ducked into an aisle and... ran right into someone familiar.]

Huh? Cordelia?

[Cordelia hadn't been back in town for more than a few hours before trouble, it would seem, ran directly into her. Catching the figure out of the corner of her eye, she manages to readjust enough to avoid a full-on collision.

Prepared to divert an apology from the person that nearly knocked into her, she notices who it is, blinks a few times, then smiles.]

You should really keep a better eye on where you're going, cousin.

[Luke stumbles back a little, Mieu getting caught under his heels. With a yelp, the poor Eevee gets his tail stepped on and he darts behind Cordelia's feet instead.]

I was! It's not my fault you're in the way.

[He gets his balance, sniffing a little and rubbing his hands through his hair.]

I'm just trying to survive, jeez...

I believe I was here first, Luke. [Manners.]

[Hearing the Eevee yelp, Cordelia immediately bends down.]

Are you all right, Mieu?

Veeee.

[Mieu cowers a little. Luke's been angry about his allergies all day, so it's to be expected.]

Here doing what? Lurking around corners for people to run into you?

[She purses her lips a little, still managing a smile despite Luke's unwarranted comment.]

Not at all. I just got back into the city, so I thought I would relax a bit.

Just got back?

His expression changes to more curious... happier. He looked excited. It's always been his dream to go outside the walls on some huge adventure, but with his health and his family so ...restrictive, he couldn't do anything.]

From outside the wall? What was it like?

[You were absolutely adorable sometimes, Luke. Cordelia giggles a bit.]

I'm a ranger, remember? It's my job to explore outside of Union.

Where did you go this time? Dad says they found an island, he wants to make a vacation home since the air would be good for mom. I really wanted to see it, so we went with him when he did and I found a cool Pokemon!

[He's super adorable. It's the first time he went outside of Union ever so even if it was with his family's expensive guard it was amazing to him.]

[Again, she giggled a bit.]

So I had heard, I'm hoping to go there myself, once work calms down a bit.

We went to the canyons, to investigate a possible lead on a human settlement.

It's gonna be cool once dad builds the house there, right now it's just a bunch of trees....... Really? The canyons?

[He brightens up, so interested.]

Was there anybody? Like those Evolution guys?

[Asch has failed to understood the concept of "real" work, at least not the labor intensive kind. When he was young, he and his twin brother Luke would sometimes be under father's watchful eye in his office. The courtroom and business center were two very different places so the impression of 'going to work' was one perhaps the twins never truly understood till now.

They had their fencing practice for sport but that's exactly what it was -- for sport. Standing for hours keeping the peace isn't the same as doing something you love.

Working as a Sword has proven much different then he originally imagined..] Hump- nothing's going on.. Why do I have to stand? [Hypocritically bitching about standing after telling Luke not to sit.]

...Oh no.. [In the distance he can see a large hunk of red-hair flowing, first assuming it's was Luke but then.. Ick, relatives.] Cordelia, what do you want? I'm working.

[To many damn red-heads in this city, that's what's up.]

[She looked hard at work--a bit tired, perhaps, but she would never directly admit it--Pidgeotto gliding at her side. From her outward appearance, it would seem that she had just returned from some kind of expedition; hair messily tied back and out of the way, clothes minimalist and a bit dirtied up.]

I'm here to give a report and thought that I might see if you were working.

[She wasn't rubbing that fact in, of course, but really just wanted to say hello. How Asch interpreted that would be up to him.]

Hump-! [Giving that normally passive aggressive look while arm crossing.] I'm here, you've seen me. [-And perhaps he's taking a little to much stress out on here, clearing his throat.]

..Where have you been? Out flying on that bird again? [Asch doesn't mean to always sound like an asshole, he just is. He doesn't intend to be so upfront and rude. He leans against a near by wall, arms still crossed, brow raised in slight amusement.]

[Cordelia is used to Asch's krabby-butt ways, and instead of backing down or chiding him in any way, she meets him with a bit of a smile.

Some things just never change, do they?]

Yes, as a matter of fact, but not for the reason you might think. I just got back from a two-week tour of the canyons with my squad.

No wonder you're filthy. [There's that charming attitude again. Looking away, glad to see she's alright than considering.] Is that what the Ranger's call 'work'?

I know you may not appreciate the work that we do, but it is important, despite what you or my parents might think.

Sounds more like a commoners vacation, but whatever. [huff huff huff.. always so huffy.]

.... What were your findings? [Have a minute? Asch may not like to show interest but you are his cousin, you're obligated to talk to him, and exploring is in his nature despite being in The Swords. He's actually super engrossed in the idea of venturing but because he's never awakened as an Enlightened (and even if he did) his parents wouldn't allow such exploring on the twins end.]

I cannot confirm nor deny that.

[She smiles. Depending on who you were, it was a bit of a vacation.]

With the various settlers arriving in Union, we were investigating the canyon area for any signs of any possible human settlements, past or present.

...So, did you find any?

[Yeah, he's interested. It's hard to be treated so weakly by everyone, not that Cordelia was right now, but hearing about her adventure reminds him of the past, blaming Luke for this of course but also because he never awakened.

Perhaps Asch wasn't meant to explore but damn if he didn't want to..]

[She shakes her head with a frown.]

Unfortunately not. A few rangers from our expedition are taking an extended stay to investigate further, but I doubt they'll find anything.

Hump, boring. [Or course there is nothing.. things like Asch is imagining only happen in books.]

Whatever, just remember mother's birthday is soon. We're hosting the usual gala, you should at least make an appearance for your Aunt Suzanne.

[She frowns a bit.]

I know. [Her voice trails off a bit.]

[A sigh.] I know, you'd rather not, but mother loves seeing you. Her heath still isn't that great and maybe seeing one of her favorite nieces would help.

[Such a mommy's boy, BUT DON'T EVER TELL HIM THAT HE IS NOT!!]

On her birthday, Cordelia, I know you have so many things to attend too but maybe you could squeeze that in. [HE'S SUCH A LITTLE SHIT, HOW DOES ANYONE PUT WITH THIS?! Asch will shame anyone into anything if he feels like it.]
