Now that we've gotten a bit into the plot and know a bit more about the setting, I want to hear all your crazy, off-the-wall theories of what's going on and what's happening and all that other good stuff. The civilization depicted in the paintings that Maya and Jinxie found in the Ruins is either a precursor civilization to Gigas or Gigas itself. The three slab-like figures depicted being chained by the people are Regice, Regirock, and Registeel, with Regigigas being the larger figure that created the landmass the people are living on. It was said at one point that Gigas was named for a benevolent Pokemon that protected their city during the cataclysm, so I'm figuring that's the one they had as their patron.
