Testrun meme (November & December)

TESTRUN MEME
1) Harvest time! The Agricultural Tower needs a hand harvesting the crops. How is that working out for you and your Pokemon?
2) It's starting to get a bit chilly out! Snow is now blanketing the ground and as an unfortunate side effect Ice Types are now on a rampage through Union. They seem to be having a lot of fun, but it's inconveniencing everyone else, what do you do?
3) Soulfasting is upon us, and festivals abound. Residents have taken to one of the larger parks in Union to celebrate. There are delicious sweets, performances on stage and other spectacles. Some people from the audience are even being pulled up on stage! How are you celebrating?
4) With Autumn coming to a close, many trees within the Verdant Forest have shed their leaves into enormous piles. Unfortunately, this extends beyond the forest and into Union itself, and there is now a big leaf problem. You get to clean it up, have fun!
5) Wildcard! Come up with a prompt!

[His tail flicks a bit behind him, a silent motion of tension to match the perplexed expression. He casts a glance around him a moment, before re-centering his attention on this...kid.]
...But the birds are in the sky. [Hinata is most definitely just standing on the ground.]
That's... kind of a lame excuse, isn't it?
no subject
[ This kid grins from behind the camera, snapping a shot of Hinata's confused face. Click, whirr, and the twist to his expression is immortalized on film for all time. ]
That's a keeper. Anyway, there's plenty of birds around here, if you keep an eye out.
[ Birds in the metaphorical sense. Lots of Enlightened, passing through. ]
no subject
[OK that one was definitely not obviously at a bird, and Hinata flinches away from the camera's lense a beat too late.]
C-Come on, what's the big idea?! [He has both hands held up idly in front of his torso, though it's clearly just a limp, defensive position.
It's just a camera but... he's admittedly kind of embarrassed. Why was this weird kid even taking pictures of him?!]
There's no way I believe you're just taking pictures of birds now...!
no subject
[ Entirely unrepentant, Tim laughs under his breath, putting the camera down. No more sneak shots. At least for the moment. ]
Sorry, I'm just messing with you.
[ This guy kind of reminds him of his buddy, Ives. Tim suspects he's a total nerd. ]
My name's Tim, and I promise I'll leave that one undeveloped. Unless you want a copy?
no subject
[Shut down in no time flat-- his expression was so flat that it was almost comical. Junko would never let him hear the end of it if she got her hands on that picture.
He lower his arms, his tail falling back behind him, and for the most part he seems to be over his initial nerves.]
My name's Hajime.
...Guess it's nice to meet you?
[???????? ??? ?????]
no subject
Not like the compact little detective here will eventually figure out where you live and send it. Of course not. ]
You guess, huh? ...--Well, that's the best I've gotten today. Guess it's nice to meet you, too, Hajime. Here for lunch?
[ Usually what people come to the plaza for. That, or business. Sometimes shady dealings. There's a reason Tim takes up shop here so often. ]
no subject
Do you always have to take things so literally...?
[Well, it's probably his fault for wording it weird, but he's still getting a bit flustered over his own inability to speak properly.]
...I was really just walking around. [Seriously. He didn't actually have any destination in mind.] But I suppose it is around lunchtime, isn't it?
no subject
[ Harmless fun, though, by the amused raise to his eyebrows and the shrug he gives. He's just teasing, buddy. ]
It is around lunchtime, yeah.
[ Early afternoon. Just after the usual rush. ]
...--You wanna get something? I mean, it's fun to grab lunch with someone. If you're hungry, anyway.
[ A little clumsy, but then again, Tim doesn't consider himself the best at social interaction, either. But it'd be nice not to eat alone today, if he's going to be out here, and the older kid seems like he might be good company. ]
no subject
[F l a t. He doesn't know whether he's amused, or exasperated, but hey, at least he's not really angry with the guy! Guess it was all in good fun.... maybe.
Still, the admission does seem to ease away a bit of his tension if Tim's not actually on his case or anything, and his expression softens a bit.]
...Sure, I could go for something to eat. It's a lot better than having to grab lunch alone.
no subject
It's not like he doesn't have friends. He's actually pretty popular -- Tim has his core group of three friends, and a larger array of acquaintances, and normally he doesn't have to look very far for companionship. But still. It's a good feeling, that someone wouldn't mind grabbing some lunch with him. Especially someone he's just met.
He hops off the bench he's perching on, camera swinging from the strap around his neck, and slings his messenger bag over his shoulder. ]
Awesome. You feelin' sandwiches, or something else? I'm around here often enough, I know the best places.
[ He taps his nose. Tim's in the know, you're in good foodie hands, Hinata. ]
no subject
But regardless, whether Hinata notices it or not, Tim's mood lift is a bit infectious, and the corners of his mouth upturn in a smile as he gestures vaguely to the rest of the plaza with one hand.]
You can pick. I'm... not really familiar with anything around here lately. And I'm not picky.
no subject
[ He makes sure Hinata's in line with him and on board before leading the way, meandering through the plaza to one of the side streets. The place he's thinking of is a little off the beaten tracks, but worth the visit. ]
Ever since trade with the outside opened up, more shops've been using meat -- you ever had Tauros? Man, this place makes the best sandwiches with it. Thin-sliced, covered in bell peppers and drowning in cheese, they're amazing.
[ Welcome, Hinata, to the Happy Ramble. Tim's mouth can run when he's on a roll, and he gestures as he does. ]
Not familiar with the plaza, huh? [ He shoots an inquisitive look Hinata's way, head tilting. ] Wait, are you from one of the other cities?
no subject
For the most part he's happy to let the kid ramble as he will, and simply listen-- though that's not to say he's not willing to speak up, especially since--]
Wait, Tauros? You've had meat before?
[What. Wait. Where the hell was this kid taking him to?]
Uh-- no, I'm from Union. Just... haven't come down here much.
[Yeeeaaah, that's it.]
no subject
[ He says, as if it's nothing uncommon. And for him, it isn't. Tim's never seriously looked at the price tags of things -- he's never had to. Even with the boost in inter-city trade, meat's still high up there in cost.
He's not completely ignorant, though. Tim hitches his bag a little higher on his shoulder. ]
It's cool, the place we're going has a... deal, with my family. [ A tab. ] Lunch is on me. Consider it an apology for taking a very unflattering photo of you.
[ Which he totally will never develop and send to Hinata's residence for his sister to pin to the cupboard. ]
Well, it's a good spot. Ten/ten in Union, would recommend again. Pretty popular among Enlightened, too, you know?
no subject
[Besides, it's not like Tim really owes him much of an apology. But meat? Honest to god meat? No way, no matter what kind of hook-up he had, that was way over the top...!
Though apparently it did show how out of touch with what was probably supposed to be his own vaguely-social circle he was. He doesn't lose pace with Tim, but his footsteps seem more hurried just because of his current demeanor.]
H-Honestly, I wouldn't really know about the other Enlightened... but even still... I mean, not that I don't appreciate it-- but I can't just accept a favor like that for something so small...
no subject
Then next time we meet up, you take me to your favorite place. How's that sound?
[ Evens out, right? Hard to turn Tim's suggestion down when he's flashing that hopeful look Hinata's way: eyebrows raised, blue-eyed, and maybe-- maybe he is lonely, if he'd admit it to himself. Isolated, even in company. He doesn't have any Enlightened friends, and even if he doesn't want to come clean about himself, it'd be nice. To know someone. Just in case. ]
no subject
...There's no way any place I can afford is going to match up, you know.
[He's reticent; but it's... not like he's going to say no just like that, despite his stern expression.]
But if you're OK with that...
[Maybe he'll just order something without meat to keep it fair...?]
no subject
I'm not picky, either.
[ Anything's fine by him. Tim's a teenager -- if he can eat it, he will, and he'll enjoy every minute of it.
(Not like he hasn't had his shameful cereal-without-milk moments during dinner, sometimes. He gets busy, and tired, and the dining hall can seem leagues away at that point.) ]
Anyway, these sandwiches, man, they're like a foot long...! Hope you brought your appetite's A-game.
no subject
But he can't argue with that; and he lets out a breath that seems like it's in resignation and defeat, but underneath that, he's definitely smiling, and nods just so in acquiescence.]
Seriously? Now I know you're totally exaggerating...
[(Oh if only he knew just how wrong he was about to be proven).]
