TESTRUN MEME

1) New Years Celebration! There are fireworks all over the city! And that means your Pokémon are probably hiding under the bed. No matter how big they are. What do?

2) There's been some heavy snowfall and the connecting bridges are overloaded. They're really slick and icy and need to be plowed for safety. You and your Pokémon have been selected for this "honor". Have fun!

3) With the winter coming, the Hot Springs have been overwhelmed by an abundance of monkey Pokémon. They've been attacking citizens who are trying to soak in the pools and it's creating a big problem. Go resolve it!

4) Caldera has been working on a project to restore some of their fortifications, and that means they need strong trainers and Pokémon to help carry and work the stone and metal. Time to help out!

5) The Tropical Island has become something of a destination in the wintertime, and it's getting really crowded. Some Pokémon researchers need to conduct studies on the volcano but the throng of tourists is simply too much. Help clear a path!

Vul. [ Excuse her. Yes, you with the blue fur, terrorizing the local wildlife.

You're standing where this Vulpix plans to walk. After a moment, she looks critically up at what she supposes must be this brute's Trainer. Do something, human. She cannot reach the heat source at this rate. ] Vulpix.

[Tieria glanced down at the little Vulpix in question with a rather unconcerned look.]

You can wait.

[Being a psychic type Enlightened had its privileges when it came to understanding Poke-speak.]

[ Was that a snub? Vulpix is pretty sure she has just been snubbed! But snubbers perpetuate their rude habits because of the rise they receive from their victims. She must remain stoic, composed. So her cheeks only puff a little. How sad, to be incapable of performing simple feats for others in public areas. She'd hate to live such a narrow life. ] Pix.

[ She SUPPOSES she will have to try to walk around...but the rocks are uneven, and she has to carefully assess each step. Here we go... ]

[She could take it as a snub if she wanted to. Tieria didn't care. Neither did his Riolu. Said Pokemon was working on getting the Mankey clear of the area. He did glance back, however, as she approached.]

Rio!

[Hey, look out! That Mankey above you is going to jump down on you!]

Vul?

[ Vulpix glances up, assesses the threat, and very calmly opens her mouth. A Flamethrower shoots out, dissuading the Mankey from its assault - and also requiring her would-be assailant to seek relief in the hot springs after nearly being lit on fire.

Vulpix turns her head back as if nothing had happened and coughs a tiny, ladylike puff of smoke. If she's noticed any of the Mankey that seem upset with her conversational partner, she isn't offering aid. You were saying? ]

[Oh... well, then... Riolu went back to what he was doing.

Tieria quirked an eyebrow now.]

Do you have anyone with you?

[Was this a lone Pokémon wandering into the hot springs? It wasn't entirely unheard of, but still...]

[ Passion sits to wait as patiently as possible for Riolu to be done. It doesn't seem these brutes are in the mood to allow her passage just yet. She shall have to accommodate them.

When the human addresses her, she looks over without much interest. Her Trainer is...indisposed. At the campsite. With another human. ] Pix. Vulpix.

[ Fortunately her ego is not so easily wounded as to feel challenged by the presence of a human vying for her Trainer's affections. Even a pretty one. So she doesn't seem especially put out. Trainer is useful. That's enough.

...there's a dreadful amount of monkeys, aren't there. ]

[Okay... so this Vulpix was just wandering around on her own, then... seems a bit irresponsible of the trainer, but he left that be. The Vulpix appeared well adjusted to being around humans, at least.

Once the Riolu had cleared enough space, he backed up and returned to Tieria's side. Oh... you're still here, Vulpix lady.

Tieria nodded to her.]

It looks like you can get in now.

[Riolu wouldn't mind hanging out in the springs, either, if she didn't mind some company?]

[ It's an open hot spring. As long as he behaves better than those monkeys did, Vulpix supposes she doesn't mind.

She tests the water with a careful paw before settling in. The heat brings a smile to her face, and she yips happily (and involuntarily). ] Vul!

[ The water's fine, apparently. ]

Lu? Rio lu.

[Really? Well, in that case...

Tieria sighed. Really? Both of you? The Solosis hovering nearby bobbed up and down a few times behind him. It looked like Riolu was staying.]

Do not stay too long. [Tieria sounded a bit miffed by the whole thing, but he had no reason to stay himself. They'd done what they'd come to do. He might as well let Riolu have a moment or two in reward.

He turned to go, the Solosis floating along behind his left shoulder.]

Pix. [ Vulpix could not care less about losing her human chaperone. What wonderful heat...the city's been awful, lately.

She begins grooming herself with a paw. As she flicks it against the curls atop her head, they bounce perfectly back into place. She won't check to see if Riolu's watching, but....she's listening. This is the part where she usually gets worshipped, so she hopes he has the good sense to comply.

Even if she doesn't know whether or not he's looking her way. ]

[He was watching... trying to be discreet... but he was shy, so outright worshipping probably wasn't going to happen. He wasn't sure if he should really stay or not.]

[ There's no worship. Does he have to be eased into it? That sounds like work. Vulpix abhors work.

She turns her head, making sure to tilt it at an ideal angle. You performed rather well back there. Aren't you getting in? ] Vulpix vul?

[ A single bat of her eyes shouldn't be overkill. ]

[Oh... right. Getting in.

He eased his way in, pointedly not looking at her because... well... yeah. Respectful.]

[ Hm. Is he being modest? That's....appealing. Perhaps Vulpix can spark more interesting behavior.

She lets him soak for a while, then paddles over and flicks the back of his head with her tails. Oh, pardon her. She didn't see you there. ] Pix.

Ri? [What? What was that for?

Goodness! She was forward!

Though, it was at that time when Tieria returned.]

Are you ready, yet?

[He was a strict trainer. Riolu nodded. If he hadn't been covered in blue fur, he would have been visibly blushing.]

Well, let's go then.

[He gave the Vulpix an apologetic look. He really should go. Tieria meant well. He took good care of them and was only strict because he wanted them to do their best and be safe.

The Solosis hovering at Tieria's side agreed.

Riolu shook himself dry once he got out of the water, ready to follow his trainer back out again.]

[ ....leaving. He was leaving without paying her suit. Without giving her the attention she was due. It wouldn't do to seem disappointed, so Vulpix looks away, continuing to soak. Have a pleasant day. She's sure you will. ] Vul.

[ She'd vow she wouldn't forget this slight, but that would imply caring about someone as insignificant as all of you. ]
