TESTRUN MEME

1) With spring fast approaching, Pokémon contests have become more prevalent, and stages have been cropping up all over Union. An open mic competition is being held in the park, and a trio of Jigglypuffs can be found taking the stage. Needless to say, they probably won't be a fan favorite...

2) Refuge has opened its gates to the people of Union, Caldera and Citadel, in the most hospitable way they feel possible: A party. Some have come to explore the expansive underground city, but mostly, word has spread about how Refuge's brews are on point. They don't seem to discriminate on age, either.

3) The great tree in Citadel is blooming a myriad of colors. The people are celebrating with a great festival among the various tribes that call Citadel and the surrounding area its home. This involves flower arranging, lots of meat, and, of course, a tournament to prove one's meddle in battle.

4) The city of Caldera is starting a major production project and they need workers. The forges are constantly going day and night and the pay's good, but it's hot, hard work that'll leave you tired and achy to say the least.

5) Wildcard! Come up with a prompt!

[ nic stumbles and very nearly sits down from the awkward angle of the impact. oh hey! bird! ... bird with two heads. one of which might be asleep? nic regards the bird curiously, tilting his head and watching it (him? her? them?) stumble around. hopefully not bumping into anyone else?

sorry, shuu. he's uh. he's totally missing out on the tone, this one. ... really, on the whole fact that someone's talking to him. ]

[Oh, no. It's moved on to tripping over it's own feet on the grass over there.The other head (Kaku? Maybe?) prods at the sleeping one. It's not very effective.]

I'll just have to take your silence as an answer. [After all, if something were broken, he'd definitely know it by now.

So. He's got nothing else to say right now, and he's not the type for Small Talk. Maybe he'll just move on in a minute. Who knows?]

[ small talk would be so lost on nic. perhaps it's for the better. he's followed the two-headed bird to where it's tripping all over itself, trying to see if there's something he can do to help. like keeping it from falling over completely. he does not, however, say anything in the process.

looks around, by now, to see if there's anyone paying them particular attention. does this bird belong with anyone? ]

[The Doduo's sitting on the lawn now. Too dizzy, and the awake head's given up on dragging the other one around. It sulks, but then Miru (or Kaku) squawks when Nic approaches and leans over, again almost falling down in the process. Seems Festivals like this make them pretty... excitable.

As for the doctor himself, he's gone quiet, and unless something needs his attention (like a plague breaks out), he's gone back to his notes like it's no big deal.]

[ ... the bird does not seem to belong with anyone. or maybe the one they belong to just isn't anywhere close by. or has fallen asleep - more and more people seem to be falling asleep, actually. huh.

when the doduo opens one beak, the boy isn't really deterred. the bird seems startled, but he approaches pretty cautiously. he doesn't mean them any harm, and that much is obvious in his posture, and either way he isn't really afraid he might get hurt. ]

[The Doduo, in a series of chirps, explains that they belong to the Grumpy Doctor Over There. Alas, as they speak entirely in variants of "Doduo," your guess is as good as his if he can understand them. Perhaps pointing their pointy beak at him will help get the message across? They don't hurt him, anyway, as one of the heads is still napping, and the other bonks its head against him as it chatters -- it seems it wants him to agree with something?]

[ well, nic understands some of it. like the pointing! so now he knows who this pokémon is with, which is good. gotta keep track of where the orders come from. nic crouches down in front of the both of them and wonders if the other head will wake up, watching them curiously. ]
