TESTRUN MEME

1) With spring fast approaching, Pokémon contests have become more prevalent, and stages have been cropping up all over Union. An open mic competition is being held in the park, and a trio of Jigglypuffs can be found taking the stage. Needless to say, they probably won't be a fan favorite...

2) Refuge has opened its gates to the people of Union, Caldera and Citadel, in the most hospitable way they feel possible: A party. Some have come to explore the expansive underground city, but mostly, word has spread about how Refuge's brews are on point. They don't seem to discriminate on age, either.

3) The great tree in Citadel is blooming a myriad of colors. The people are celebrating with a great festival among the various tribes that call Citadel and the surrounding area its home. This involves flower arranging, lots of meat, and, of course, a tournament to prove one's meddle in battle.

4) The city of Caldera is starting a major production project and they need workers. The forges are constantly going day and night and the pay's good, but it's hot, hard work that'll leave you tired and achy to say the least.

5) Wildcard! Come up with a prompt!

[Still sulking. He's really peeved]

[Which means that Fili's going to end up rambling and feeling like a horrible brother.

This happens a lot when he overworks himself.]

I'm just so tired. [He rubs at his face, letting out a quiet moan.] I want you and Ma and Thorin to have everything you need. If that means working a week straight, I'll do it.

[Another sigh.] But we haven't seen each other in three days because of it. And I guess that isn't exactly helping you. I don't know how to take care of you when I...when I...

[youngestone]

You're my brother, Fili.

[He gives him a sort of wounded look]

You don't need to take care of me. We're both Earthkin, we both have Pokémon and Uncle Thorin and each other. I can take care of you just as well as you can take care of me, you know.

[bornofstone]

Yeah, I guess that's true. [He leans against Kili, letting his head fall back against the wall.]

The last time I saw Dad, he told me to be good and to take care of you. [His voice is soft.] It was just one of those things you say when you walk out the door. But it was the last thing he ever said to me.

[youngestone]

[He chuckles]

Well, I took care of the "be good" part growing up, huh? [A pause] I just remember him hugging me. Ruffling my hair.

[bornofstone]

I wish he were here. [Fili's voice is just over a whisper. It's hard to tell if he's emotional or falling asleep. Probably both.] He'd take care of Ma better than we have.

[youngestone]

Hey, we did pretty good. ...okay, it was mostly Thorin, but either way.

[bornofstone]

[That earns him a chuckle.]

...I might fall asleep on you.

[youngestone]

[Kili playfully sighs and stands up]

C'mon, you weigh too much for me to be a pillow.

[bornofstone]

[Fili huffs at him, straightening up and reluctantly standing. He groans, stretching out.]

Ugh, I feel like an old man. Sore all over. [He stifles a yawn.] Ma needs a good bear hug. Let's go.

[youngestone]

See, that's why you need to work less. Not even Thorin's that creaky!

[bornofstone]

[That makes Fili laugh.] I s'pose not.

[youngestone]

I know he's not. C'mon, you need to eat and then maybe we can sneak into the women's hot springs.

[bornofstone]

You're such a perv.

[But he grins and stretches out.] I'm due for some fun, why not?

[youngestone]

Oi, you're the one who taught me how to climb over the fence! When I was eleven.

[bornofstone]

I didn't think you'd actually do it!

[Still, Fili is grinning. Nothing works better for stress than an outing with Kili.

Assuming nothing goes horribly wrong, of course.]

Lying isn't attractive, brother.

[bornofstone]

Then where did your looks come from?

[youngestone]

Oi!

[He punches Fili's arm]

I am an angel!

[bornofstone]

To our mother, maybe.

[A pause.]

No, I think she would say you're a devil too.

[youngestone]

Now Fili, I know it hurts that you're not her favorite...

[bornofstone]

[Fili snorts, elbowing his brother in the ribs.]

[Taller baby brother used Noogie!]

[bornofstone]

[It's super-effective!

Fili yelps, attempting to squirm away.]

[youngestone]

[Kili laughs and gets a good grip on him]

"Fairy-types are small!" Yeah right!
