When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you.
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 Refuge has opened its gates to the people of Union, Caldera and Citadel, in the most hospitable way they feel possible: A party. Some have come to explore the expansive underground city, but mostly, word has spread about how Refuge's brews are on point. They don't seem to discriminate on age, either.
#2 The city of Caldera is starting a major production project and they need workers. The forges are constantly going day and night and the pay's good, but it's hot, hard work that'll leave you tired and achy to say the least.
#3 The Summer Solstice festival has begun in Citadel. The tree is in full bloom, with flowers of every color dot its branches. This week-long celebration brings together the various tribes that call Citadel its home through music, dancing and, of course, fighting. There is a tournament set to begin, boasting some of the strongest Valkyries that Citadel has ever known among the combatants.
#4 The heat has really gotten to the people of Union, and as a result many have moved south for a weekend get-away in the Archipelago and the larger Island. The sand is warm and the water is too, but doesn't the beach seem a bit crowded for a once seemingly deserted area?
#5 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!

-Excuse me. Did you say something about looking for a child?
[The stranger didn't look overly concerned, so maybe it wasn't a case of a child gone missing. But it couldn't hurt to make sure. Takeshi himself keeps his hands at his sides, but he's notably wearing gloves with long cuffs that extend past his sleeves. Despite that, the black marks under his eyes are probably enough to indicate that he's an Enlightened (or that he just has strange taste in makeup).]

[Tsukasa looked up at him, squinting at the slight glare from the sun and then looked back at the people milling about. He saw the markings, but he never really bothered with pointing such things out to people. For one, he was pretty sure that people knew about the weirdness that made them the way they were. For another, he had his own signs that marked him as being Enlightened, though nothing so stunningly obvious.
Deca bounced out of the crowd, rolled to a stop and then delicately picked herself off of four legs to walk while carrying a bright blue ball to Tsukasa.]
I was referring to Deca's habit of swiping children's toys and having to return them sooner or later.

[He also notices the camera he had with him. A photographer, perhaps?]
Maybe you should get her a toy of her own. It looks like she wants to play.
no subject
I have gotten her toys; she just like toys that aren't hers.
no subject
So I see.
[Well, she looked like a troublesome one. He kneels down to reach a gloved hand out to her, whether or not she'll approach him.]
It's not nice to take things that aren't yours, you know.
no subject
I tell her that. [Even if he has problems in regards to stealing as well.] She's just a brat.
no subject
Maybe she'll figure out what it means, one of these days. Is your hand okay?
[He had a feeling he wasn't a stranger to getting scratched by her, but still.]
no subject
It's okay. She was playing a little. I would have gotten deeper scratches if she wasn't.
[A pat on the head that caused the purrloin to give Tsukasa hand a sniff, and then he squinted at Takeshi.]
Sorry if we disturbed you.
no subject
I should be the one saying that. I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Are you here to enjoy the beach as well?
[Not that that was exactly the reason he'd come himself, but close enough.]
no subject
[Said pokemon finished shaking off the worse of the sand and was now attempting to sleep on Tsukasa's shoulder. Luckily for her, she was small enough that it wasn't too much of a problem, especially when Tsukasa hunches his shoulder in just the right way.]
We were working. [And he holds out the camera as exhibit A.] I'm a passing through photographer.
no subject
[In fact he was probably somewhere on this beach right now wondering what Takeshi was up to. He'd find him eventually.]
no subject
[Tsukasa let his camera go to hang from its strap around his neck and reached up to press his fingers against the side of his head. His purrloin shifted, stretched and butted her head against his hand, and the confusion cleared from his expression.]
I'm not from any where in particular.
no subject
A wanderer, then?
no subject
A wanderer. I've probably been doing it for most of my life.
