When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you.
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 Refuge has opened its gates to the people of Union, Caldera and Citadel, in the most hospitable way they feel possible: A party. Some have come to explore the expansive underground city, but mostly, word has spread about how Refuge's brews are on point. They don't seem to discriminate on age, either.
#2 The city of Caldera is starting a major production project and they need workers. The forges are constantly going day and night and the pay's good, but it's hot, hard work that'll leave you tired and achy to say the least.
#3 The Summer Solstice festival has begun in Citadel. The tree is in full bloom, with flowers of every color dot its branches. This week-long celebration brings together the various tribes that call Citadel its home through music, dancing and, of course, fighting. There is a tournament set to begin, boasting some of the strongest Valkyries that Citadel has ever known among the combatants.
#4 The heat has really gotten to the people of Union, and as a result many have moved south for a weekend get-away in the Archipelago and the larger Island. The sand is warm and the water is too, but doesn't the beach seem a bit crowded for a once seemingly deserted area?
#5 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!

I don't need one if I don't plan on going swimming. And don't think you can make me wear one of yours.
[If you can call that a 'suit.']
no subject
What's wrong with mine?
no subject
[Silly Calderan.]
You're barely wearing anything.
no subject
Eh? But everything's covered.
no subject
Forget it. It can't be helped; you're just too Calderan.
no subject
I thought you lived in Caldera all this time. I figured you'd be a little more used to these things. I'll never understand why Union is so afraid of skin.
[But he wades a little closer to him all innocent like.]
no subject
It's not fear, it's just indecent.
no subject
You guys are just prudes.
[He pauses and glances over Hongo's shoulder.]
Eh? Is that a Sharpedo?
no subject
-What?
[Turns to look because he actually trusts you for some inexplicable reason.]

[Ajhfsdkjhjd]
[i don't have an ungraceful enough icon for this]
no subject
[He will quickly get out of the way, though because Hongo is probably going to try and drown him.]
no subject
Remind me never to listen to you.
no subject
I don't know why you still do, honestly.
no subject
[He's still looking at him, but for a moment his expression slackens and it's more like he's looking past him. Then he sighs and starts trudging back toward the shore.]
You can stay here if you want. I'm going to go dry off.
no subject
...Ah- Takeshi.
[He stands up out of the water.]
Hey- sorry. Was that out of line?
no subject
You were just messing around, don't worry about it.
[More or less 'it's not you, it's me.']
no subject
All right. You know, I was kind of hoping we could just kind of get away and relax but it seems like maybe I didn't bother to ask you what you wanted to do. If you want to leave we can.
no subject
It's fine, really. I'm glad you asked me to come. I'm just- it's been a while since I've done this sort of thing, I guess.
[Whatever 'this sort of thing' meant. Taking a break, probably.]
no subject
Yeah. I should have figured that. I mean, I get it.
[He's assuming he means adjusting to life after what they both went through, to which he thought he had a good idea of what he was feeling. He grabs his own towel and starts to dry off.]
Since you humored me in my island adventures, why don't you pick where to go next?
no subject
[Try telling that to the voices in his head.]
[That wasn't too far off, at least. He'd had three months in Caldera to 'readjust' to normal life, but he'd managed to spend most of that time hiding from doing just that. It was a little embarrassing, especially since Hayato had apparently made himself right at home in Union. But he wasn't about to let that show.]
[He still wanted to insist that Hayato could stay and enjoy himself without him if he wanted, but he was also pretty sure he wouldn't listen. So he takes his own towel (carefully nudging the book off of it first so as not to drip all over it) and starts drying off as well. His hands were just going to have to stay damp, because he wasn't taking his gloves off right now.]
I don't know. I'm fine going wherever you want to go, really. Don't let me ruin your plans.
no subject
[He wasn't sure what to do. Something was obviously bothering him and he wouldn't say what. If he pushed, Hongo would probably just push back and ...he knew what it was like to not want to talk about something you felt like you couldn't talk about.]
[He could hope all he wanted about Hongo trusting him as a confident but ultimately that was something he was going to have to earn, regardless of their shared past.]
[So, what now, Ichimonji?]
You're not ruining my plans. I'm a hard-headed busy body and I like to take things too far. We don't have to go anywhere if you don't want, and I'd be fine with that.
[He shrugs a little.]
You just have to let me know.
no subject
[He sighs out his frustration at himself, pulls up a smile and drapes his towel over his shoulders.]
We could take a walk. Might dry off faster that way.
no subject
We could. It's a nice area to take a walk and once we leave the beach it'll probably be pretty quiet.
[He grabs his things, throws on a haori. He'll whistle for his Pokemon and then send everyone back home with the warp band.]
no subject
[He tugs his towel back off his shoulders and uses the driest part of it to pick up his book. That would have to do for now.]
...Are you sure you want to come? I don't mind if you'd rather stay.
