When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you.
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 Refuge has opened its gates to the people of Union, Caldera and Citadel, in the most hospitable way they feel possible: A party. Some have come to explore the expansive underground city, but mostly, word has spread about how Refuge's brews are on point. They don't seem to discriminate on age, either.
#2 The city of Caldera is starting a major production project and they need workers. The forges are constantly going day and night and the pay's good, but it's hot, hard work that'll leave you tired and achy to say the least.
#3 The Summer Solstice festival has begun in Citadel. The tree is in full bloom, with flowers of every color dot its branches. This week-long celebration brings together the various tribes that call Citadel its home through music, dancing and, of course, fighting. There is a tournament set to begin, boasting some of the strongest Valkyries that Citadel has ever known among the combatants.
#4 The heat has really gotten to the people of Union, and as a result many have moved south for a weekend get-away in the Archipelago and the larger Island. The sand is warm and the water is too, but doesn't the beach seem a bit crowded for a once seemingly deserted area?
#5 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!

[He tilted his head slightly, raising his chin in an unconscious motion that would be more at home for someone with a lot of money instead of a scruffy, lanky wanderer with a ragged hair cut and piecemeal clothing. He doesn't seemed at all phased by the signs of someone a little stranger than normal.]
Deca is still learning... Besides, at least this time she didn't hide what she found in a cesspit.

[ The figure doesn't seem quite as sure of itself now, attempting to reconcile this moral dilemma. Stealing is wrong. But so is mistreating one's Pokémon. And a Trainer should be responsible for their Pokémon, but what do they do if there's nowhere else for their Pokémon to go....
The cloaked head stares down at Deca, as if expecting the Purrloin to sprout angel wings and a halo or something. ]

[He reached up to the small pokemon on his shoulder and let her chew on his fingertips before he was able to give her a light scratch right under her muzzle. Deca made a sound somewhat like a chirp, her tail twitching lazily.]
Discipline makes them more prone to bad behavior. Instead you have to coax them, though it does take some time. So yes, it is enough for me.
no subject
Is she in the wrong? But....stealing is wrong. So she can't be wrong. The figure turns away, her voice kind of shaky. ]
...Don't let it happen again.
[ Her fists clench. Darnit. ]
no subject
Why? You're going to spank me if I don't? [A slight snort at the thought as he bent over to pick up the rings and hand them over to the owner.] I really don't think you can reach that high.

[ The girl tries to laugh, since there's no point in getting angry anymore, but it doesn't really work. ] I shouldn't have stopped to listen to your music....
Hon. [ A Honedge peeks out from around that cloak, worried, just in time for the girl to run her hands through her hair, dislodging her hood. A pair of fin-shaped ears pop out around her messy blue hair, and steel-like scales gleam in patches on her face. ] Sorry I can't leave a tip.

[Some of the other people were staring but Tsukasa just raised the camera hanging on its strap around his neck and casually takes a picture. Deca huffed and jumped off his shoulder, her interest on some of the coins that were down next to him.]
I was only making an observation. You talked as if you were my mother scolding me for negelcting Deca, so spanking came to mind. I suppose I should have said beat me up.
she has so many issues at this canonpoint i am so sorry :(
[ The girl grips her Honedge even tighter, but rather than hold it up like a proper sword, she grits her teeth. He took her picture. He didn't flinch away, which is something, but he...he took her picture. ] D-don't look at me. It's disgusting, right? Don't look at me...
Hon, hon. [ The Honedge edges itself forward to address Deca (turning its body to show that it, too, is a pleasingly shiny object). They should start thinking of ways to break their Trainers apart. Its Trainer is going through a really bad time right now, and is sensitive about her appearance. If they don't put space between their humans, its Trainer might do something she doesn't really want to do... ]
that's okay tbh tsukasa is a jerk even w/o his memories
[He also took pictures in order to make some money but it wasn't as profitable as playing the violin was. He would need a real time studio or something in order to start turning it into something profitable, so for now it was just an amusing hobby, a kind of way to catalog his travels to... well, to something. He just wasn't sure what he was traveling to. Yet.
He let the camera go and took a step forward, reaching out but not to touch, only to shield her from some of the prying eyes. That meant to flip her hood back up, though he was a little abrupt about it.]
Stop that. Whoever said it was disgusting is an idiot.
[Deca's ears twitched and she takes a seat, curling her tail around her paws as she looks at the honedge. Then deciding to humor it, she gives a little kitty snort. Maybe if her Trainer was going to be an idiot, she would suggest it, but he was really different. Appearances didn't bother him, only lacking faith in oneself.]
every game needs a heavy dose of jerks!! they keep things interesting
[ She steps back, but not before he does manage to get that hood back up. She'd heard other places - especially Union - had humans who grew weird stuff on their bodies naturally, but she'd dismissed those rumors as exactly that. Nobody she knows has ever made it to actual Union....and it's odd, but when she does try to think of her home, she's got a fuzzy gap in her memories too.
This is one of the many things she spends her time trying not to think about. ] No. Even if you're telling the truth, then I'm an idiot for snapping at somebody who really isn't that bad of a guy.
No matter how this pans out, I'm the idiot.
Hon! [ Trainer! Listen to him! It's possible to stop being an idiot! ]
that they do :3
[It really wasn't important. Human, Enlightened, Shifter, Enhanced, they were all the same to him. All that mattered was whether or not someone was trying to kill him and if he had enough provisions to provide for himself and Deca. Everything else was just noise.]
I wouldn't say that. You're just touchy.
i'm excited to have him meet my jerk who's already in the game
[ Darnit. There goes a tear. She doesn't feel on the verge of completely losing it, not anymore, but -
Argh, this isn't the place to fall apart, anyway. There's too many people here. She turns around, looking for a way out. No matter how well-regarded this place is by the locals, she's not in the mood. ] I won't interrupt your performance any more.
that would be too fun to watch
[People who can't read, or people that weren't skilled at a certain talent, or people who stuttered, the list went on. She wore her difference on the outside, and there was nothing wrong with that.]
It's time for lunch anyways.
no subject
So she just backs away. ] L-leave me alone.
Hon hon. [ Trainer, he's trying to help. Trainer, listen... ]
/makes things up on the fly
[That was said with a snort and then he just sighed, gave his head a shake, and brought his hand up to his face. It took a bit of concentration - and it caused his vision to double as he pushed against the gray that most of his memories were buried under - but the undamaged side of his head shifted a little, showing black marks slashing down his face, his eye turning solid green and enlarging, his hair lightening to a bright pinkish color.
And then it hit the block and he was doubled over, hand against his head as the pain got too much.]
Everyone... is the same. You're just being dramatic about it being obvious.
no subject
She shakes her head. ] I didn't know.
[ It's the closest she can come to apologizing for calling him gross by extension. ]
no subject
[Even as he said that, he still wasn't exactly sure how he knew that it could be hidden. Others all had a sign, a mark, something, but he didn't. It took effort to display anything really, let alone keep it up for any length of time. The healing cracks in his skull were probably to blame there.
Just like they were the blame for losing a good portion of his memories as well. Bits and pieces sometimes floated up past the gray - a haunted smile, the sounds of laughter, in one case the double image of some kind of person standing over him. Tsukasa tried not to think about it in hope that one day the fog over his mind would let go.]
no subject
Could you give me a little more time to think? I think I know what you're trying to say, but I'm not at my best right now.
[ Not to mention the whole bar full of people who might be wondering where the music went, etc. ]
no subject
Take your time.
no subject
[ And she'll try to make good on her retreat. He has given her food for thought, but she just....thinking is not a thing that can happen right now. She needs to be alone, and sort out the complicated muck in her head and her heart.
But she does get the feeling that maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all. ]
no subject
With that, he picked up his violin and started playing again.]
