When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you. While not required, we also encourage you to take a look at the most recent AU Planning post.
THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 A naughty Castform is following people around and causing rain wherever they walk. Talk about spring showers!
#2 The Flower Grove is well-known for its spring blossoms. Your character has gone to visit, only to discover Gloom have moved in to enjoy the pleasant fragrance! And now the pleasant fragrance...isn't.
#3 This baby Pidgey has fallen out of its nest!!! What do you do? Do you get help? It's squawking and flapping like nobody's business. Might be hard to hang onto without somebody else around to spot you...
#4 Glacier is excited for the Big Spring Thaw! They will tell this to anyone who comes to see them at Citadel, and will even lead expeditions up to the Obsidian Flats to show off the lovely warm weather......while it's still snowing.
#5 Union is still repairing itself after Kyurem's attack. Construction workers are needed at this site. Humans and Pokémon are both welcome, but the supervisor is a Machoke. Communication could get tricky.
#6 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!

Kiyohime, for her part, is making her way towards the Gravelers, putting herself between them and the humans. Coincidentally. ]
no subject
Duran growls, but it doesn't look like he'll be going after the Rock types unless Trainer says so. Natsuki seems to be ignoring the other (slightly panicking, but keeping it together for the tourists) tour guide in favor of seeing what Kiyohime will do.]
no subject
[ Kiyohime is not doing much. Just refusing to be daunted by all of these rocks. In fact, it seems completely unimpressed.
Shizuru steps back. ] There's another good vantage point this way.
[ Further from the Gravelers. What are the odds the tour group will take that suggestion? ]
no subject
Neither Natsuki nor Duran are moving, however.
The big Graveler roars even louder, arms spread wide for maximum effect, and then throws itself forward for a Rollout attack.]
no subject
[ Shizuru reaches to unwrap something she'd been carrying on her back as the Pokémon in question dodges. That's an attack that gains in power the more it's used, isn't it? But it also can't stop once it starts.
So Kiyohime leaps closer to the cliff's edge, breathing out some Dragon's Breath for the rock to roll through. Try that on as a deterrent. ]
no subject
Meanwhile, Graveler B and C have little use for taking turns. Graveler B grunts and starts throwing rocks while Graveler C is a little shit and uses Bulldoze (and hitting anybody nearby, including allies).
Duran barks and then concentrates. An aura envelopes both him and Kiyohime, as he lends a Helping Hand (or Paw).]

[ Shizuru has finished unwrapping the weapon she'd had strapped to her back - a pole topped with a long red blade. She's looking down, however, at the way Bulldoze had covered her teapot and cup in rocks. ] We can't have that.
Excuse me. [ And she whips her weapon at Graveler C. The blade detaches, revealing itself to be multiple blades connected by a wire. She's trying to grab hold of the Pokémon - a full Bind would be ideal, but she'll settle for a limb, if she must.
Kiyohime continues to play chicken (Torchic?) along the edge of the canyon. It Roars, hoping to scare the Gravelers off.
And if not, well, if that rolling one wants to try and squash it, it'll have to think fast to avoid rolling right off this cliff. ]
no subject
Graveler A is gutsy enough to get past that Roar! It can't lose face in front of its buddies! But thinking fast isn't an especially strong trait found in Gravelers, so there's a surprised grunt as it finds itself falling off the cliff. After the dust settles, one would see it looking perfectly fine at the bottom, but it would take a while to get back up.
Graveler B is a bit uncreative and settles for chucking rocks from afar. Big rocks. Natsuki slides into a more defensive stance, forming a glittering ice wall around them with a gesture.
She nods at Graveler C, who looks like its getting increasingly frustrated.]
Better do something about that one before it Self-Destructs.
no subject
Kiyohime returns from the edge to sneak up on Graveler B. If Natsuki can keep its attention, the Deino can attack from behind! ]
no subject
Natsuki concentrates on the wall while Graveler B gets increasingly frustrated. Why is there no smash???]
no subject
Namely, Kiyohime can open those jaws and Crunch down on Graveler's head with all its might. Shizuru just watches, perfectly calm. If her teapot's still in one piece, the contents are likely cold by now, aren't they?
What a pity. ]

Shizuru picks up her teacup and frowns, tracing a crack on its surface. Dear, dear. ]
no subject
It takes a moment for it to realize it's getting attacked on both fronts. There's some stupid dino thing biting its arm and there's ice. It roars, struggling to get out of that Crunch attack and to find an exit.]
no subject
It'll do the same amount of damage regardless, but it's the principle of the thing. The message it sends.
Shizuru's teapot is also no longer functional. She sighs. And Kiyohime lets go - but only to see whether this thing needs one last lesson. ]
no subject
Natsuki lets the ice forming above her palm die away. It doesn't look like she can be bothered enough to do something about the ice wall (which might or might not be marring the view).
Glance over at you.] Did it break?
[she still can't believe you brought that with you on the trail]
no subject
She hangs the pot on its horn. ] Are you all right?
[ Asked to Natsuki, not Kiyohime. Kiyohime is just fine. ]
no subject
Yeah. [it's weird and awkward how she suddenly doesn't know what to do with her hands. Or where to look. She takes a moment to glance over the cliff edge, and then stuffs her hands back into her pockets.
A jerk of her head towards where the rest of the group is.] Let's go.
[before the Graveler manage to climb back up the cliff. And maybe she can get this tour over with so things can get back to normal.]
no subject
[ Kiyohime follows gamely. Somehow, even a growly bitey blind dragon can manage to walk with a teapot hanging from its head without clattering. This pair has discipline, indeed.
Shizuru, for her part, is as serene as if she hadn't just revealed herself to be carrying a concealed weapon and then chucked a wild Pokémon over a cliff with it. What a lovely day for a tour. ]
no subject
It looks like the other guide has finished speaking at length about the Flats and they're ready to start heading back. Natsuki glances back at you. Are you good with this?]
no subject
She sticks close as they head back, then nods to the other guide. He had to pick up some slack while Natsuki was busy with her, so. ] I trust you won't get in trouble.
no subject
She snorts.] If they try to make something out of it, then I'm quitting.
[she's not very invested in this tourism operation, no.]
no subject
And you have such an adorable fuzzy little follower to look after... ]
no subject
[Natsuki seems rather unconcerned about this.] I've got better things to do anyway.
[and really, it's probably better to keep the grouchy one away from the tourists who are bringing in business.]
no subject
[ Shizuru pouts. ] I'm so much more interested in Glacier now....
