When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you. While not required, we also encourage you to take a look at the most recent AU Planning post.
THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 Summer means it's time for a vacation! You and your Pokémon have hit the beach only to discover that not only has everyone else had the exact same idea, there's a bullying Raichu and Snubbull wandering around stepping on people's sandcastles! Will you stand up to them or let the squabble pass you by?
#2 A Noctowl has delivered you a message inviting you to enroll in Sanctuary's "Spoinkwarts School of Magecraft". How will you respond? If you say yes, you'd better head there for your supplies....it's doubtful you're able to buy cauldrons and Swellow-feather quills in Union.
#3 Perhaps it's time to beat the heat by heading to Refuge. But you've ventured there as evening is falling, and that can only mean one things: Zubats. Zubats everywhere. All at once. Suddenly. There is no escape, there is no release. There is only Zubat, and this cave.
#4 Aggron from the northern mountains have discovered Glacier music and are trying it out for themselves! Unfortunately, the only parts they've mastered are the grunting, yelling, and whipping their heads (and tails) around violently. Enjoy the concert!
#5 The Verdant Forest is full of pollen this time of year! And it looks like this Petilil that won't stop following you is allergic to....itself. It's also giving off pollen. Everywhere. Seriously, even if you don't have allergies, you're in trouble.
#6 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!
Hinahoho | Magi: Sinbad no Bouken | Glacier Native
[The cloying darkness and chill of the labyrinthine caverns of Refuge was a welcome relief from the unbearable heat that existed south of the tundra. Most humans would be glad for the heat, but for Hinahoho it only made him want to sleep until darkness fell-- or find the nearest, coldest natural spring in the area and dive in.]
Phew, [He said, removing the hood of his cloak and brushing his thick fringe, sticky with sweat, from his brow. The little Swinub on his shoulder nudged his cheek with her nose, chittering happily. The mountains would be better than this, but a new place to explore was always a good thing.]
I heard there was a village down here, [Hina said, lifting a massive hand to gently scratch the tiny pokemon on the head with equal affection.] Let's see if we can find it-- the drinks there are supposed to rival the ones back home.
[Except...they wouldn't make it far. The darkness around them invited only one thing: zubats. Hoards of them. Both giant man and pokemon alike shouted in surprise when the zubats stormed them.
Someone, help?]

[Now this was a show Hina could get into. Words weren't always necesary for good, rough and tumble metal to express it's meaning-- and the meaning was loud and clear. These Aggron must have had stories to tell that rivalled those of the clan Elders, who fought Gyarados with only a single spear and took them down in one blow, or those energetic drunkards who lost bets and had to battle wild beartics naked, with just their bare hands as their only strength.
Hina was grinning, and the swinub upon his head was wooping and cheering in time with the music. It's impossible to miss him even in this crowd-- standing heads above the rest of the humans, with a build only rivalled by those very beartics that roamed the frosted mountains.
This was a taste of home, and he loved it.]
4
He succeeded... somewhat, which leads to him getting crowdsurfed, bouncing from one to another]
Whoa!
[He yelps as he's bounced quite high, turning head over heels]
Re: 4
Careful, there!
[Reaching over like one would if they were reaching for a harpoon mounted high on the wall, Hina snatched Sinbad by the back of his overcoat just in time to stop him from being dropped to the ground and trampled.
He grinned, a wild gleam of excitement flashing through his eyes.]
This is a heckuva scene, but these big guys don't know how to watch out for the little guys. You might wanna find a place to enjoy the view without getting squished!
Re: 4
I'm not little, you're just freakish big.
[While he had retorted quickly, it was clearly done in jest, his tail wiggling under him]
I was trying to get that across to them, but they thought I meant 'let them join in moshing'.
4
[He gestured at the moshing, roaring Aggrons on stage. The effort and energy they put into the show earned the approval of any Glacian warrior, but Hina had to admit that those of a....smaller sort would be quite out of their league.]
And you're wasting your time, too. They don't look like they want to listen to anything but their hearts right now.
[He glanced around, looking for a place to deposit Sin and, finding none, cast the young man an embarrassed look.]
May as well stay here. Rolo won't mind-- will ya?
[Rolo squeaked from her place on his head. It'd be totaly fine if he stayed around!]
Re: 4
Heeey... this isn't a bad view at all.
4
[Rolo squeaked in agreement and moved to nudge Sinbad affectionately on the cheek with her big wet nose.
Hina inherently didn't mind being used as a seat like this. When so much of the world was smaller than him, it was seriously the best thing that he could do.]
Re: 4
So is this typical music for you guys? I really like it.
no subject
[Hina grinned, but kept his stance steady as to not rock his two small passengers.]
Of course it is-- what else are ya gonna listen to when the nights are too long and the weather's too rough to do anything but drink?
