When creating a thread, it is advised that players give their prospective thread partners a bit of information in the subject line, such as the characters name and canon, or a possible typing and Enlightened ability (if this is applicable). These are not required, but will make it easier for any prospective players to thread with you. While not required, we also encourage you to take a look at the most recent AU Planning post.
THIS CYCLE'S PROMPTS
#1 Summer means it's time for a vacation! You and your Pokémon have hit the beach only to discover that not only has everyone else had the exact same idea, there's a bullying Raichu and Snubbull wandering around stepping on people's sandcastles! Will you stand up to them or let the squabble pass you by?
#2 A Noctowl has delivered you a message inviting you to enroll in Sanctuary's "Spoinkwarts School of Magecraft". How will you respond? If you say yes, you'd better head there for your supplies....it's doubtful you're able to buy cauldrons and Swellow-feather quills in Union.
#3 Perhaps it's time to beat the heat by heading to Refuge. But you've ventured there as evening is falling, and that can only mean one things: Zubats. Zubats everywhere. All at once. Suddenly. There is no escape, there is no release. There is only Zubat, and this cave.
#4 Aggron from the northern mountains have discovered Glacier music and are trying it out for themselves! Unfortunately, the only parts they've mastered are the grunting, yelling, and whipping their heads (and tails) around violently. Enjoy the concert!
#5 The Verdant Forest is full of pollen this time of year! And it looks like this Petilil that won't stop following you is allergic to....itself. It's also giving off pollen. Everywhere. Seriously, even if you don't have allergies, you're in trouble.
#6 Wildcard! Come up with your own prompt!
If you have any setting questions, or want to do some reading before posting a thread, you can find the setting directory here! Happy tagging!

I think you might be worrying a little too much there, kid. I made this far on my own, you know? I can handle this.
[He sighs and shrugs.]
But if it makes you feel better you're little friends can help along the way too.

All right. Rover can keep guiding us, then. Just...hold onto this.
[Clearly, this was a path she had used before, as there was already a rope anchored to a solid boulder and hidden amongst the scattered rocks in the dirt. Staggered throughout the length was a series of sturdy knots, for easier grasping.]
Rover knows Flash, but it can still get pretty dark in here.

A hint of a smile plays at the corner of his lips when he sees the rope. This kid was prepared, he'd give her that.]
Well that's certainly handy.
[He takes a hold of it and gives it a tug to make sure it's secure. Which it seems to be.
He then glances back to Pidge.]
Dark, spooky and slippery got it.
Do you want to go first or do you want me too?
[He had a feeling she'd want him to so she could keep an eye out on him while they went up, but he had to ask anyways.]
Oops-- lost this one!!
[If only because she already knew the way very well, and she would have an easier time troubleshooting if Toshinori took a slip.
Grinning confidently, she entered the narrow little passage, placing her heavy boots carefully on rocks that she knew to be sturdy-- at least, for her.]
Just try to go where I go...but, I've gotta warn you, I've never taken anyone else in here before.
[The rest of the warning remained unspoken in the air, but she didn't want to jinx it. Instead, she quietly hoped that his height and different center of gravity wouldn't do them in.]
You're forgiven!
[Toshinori watched carefully as Pidge took her first few steps into the passage way. Keeping an eye on each place she considered safe to step down on. The last thing he wanted to do was screw this up and put the both of them in danger. He had an ace up his sleeve if he needed it but he'd really rather not use it for a simple climb.]
Oh really? Guess I should feel really privileged then, shouldn't I?
[His eyes glanced between the Pokemon she had left to watch his back and the path of ahead of him.]
Well let's get this over with.
[And then he took put both his hands on the rope and started to follow along in Pidge's footsteps. He had to kneel down and take slightly more awkward steps to get through the tunnel but he was surprisingly well coordinated for someone so sickly.]
yay!
Just ignore the ghosts, [she warned, never taking her eyes off the path before them.] They're mostly harmless, but they like to trick people into following them and getting lost. Finding your way back can be a real pain if you're not familiar with these caves.

His eyes had just started to drift toward a couple of Litwicks when she gave her warning. Then his attention turned back stone path ahead of him.]
Between them and all the zubats I'm surprised anyone can find their way around here.
[He takes another hop toward the next stone. His landing is only off by a fraction but he feels his foot slip just a little. He quickly plants the other one down to steady himself and avoid tumbling. That wouldn't be a good thing to do right about now.
He gives a nervous laugh that mixes with a cough.]
It's okay. I'm okay.
no subject
...Except maybe the locals. They've lived with these guys for forever.
no subject
[What a cheeky kid. He'll manage to return that grin with one of his own. When she turns back she'll notice he's sweating pretty hard but still managing to keep up the same pace he had started with.]
I can think of worse roommates than a bunch of zubats and litwicks. Though the locals may be a cooky themselves if they've put up with them for so long.
no subject
Darn right they're kooky. Some of them are so chill that I just don't get how they can do anything.
[Because, seriously. While she understood that the zen-like practices had taken generations to form and were well appreciated for many people, she had far too much energy to just sit and meditate like that.
Casting a look over her shoulder, she offered a smile.]
We should be there soon. Then you can find out for yourself, and see what you think.
