This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications. For your convenience, we've provided a few prompts, but feel free to make your own!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon; this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but consider it fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. Spring cleaning! Who left all these flowers around everywhere? In the aftermath of what happened in April, the town needs to be thoroughly cleared of vegetation and debris. It will require a group effort. Your Bugs might be a little distracted though.

3. The fresh water in Union is getting low! It seems like Bidoof have dammed off the streams in the forest that provide Union with its fresh water. What do you do? Murder the Bidoof? Dig a new waterway right next to Union? Capitalize on the shortage and sell bottled water produced by your Water types?

4. You're in the depths of the Old City exploring and you just dropped your only source of light into a bottomless abyss. Whoops. Hopefully, you're not alone, right? ...If you are alone, perhaps it would be a good idea to call for a rescue.

5. A Grimer and a Trubbish are fighting in the middle of Union! It's so disgusting that you can't even get close. Do you rush in to break it up? Push someone else to do it? Take bets on who will win? Run away and gossip with your friends about the deplorable state of Union nowdays and how much better Gigas probably is?

6. Wildcard! Make up your own!

[ Robin is with Bats the Zubat and Nightwing the Murkrow trying to take down what seemed to be a very disturbed Golem.

Sadly he doesn't have the type advantage. At all. But he's trying so care to assist him? Or just watch him get nearly run over by a rollout attack either works. ]

[ Really Bidoofs? You couldn't find someplace else to build your dam?

Dick is in the forest trying to figure out if there could possibly be some alternative to this problem that the Bidoofs are causing. He's already tried speaking to them through his warp band, getting Robin the Fletchling to try to talk to them, aggravate them, and so on and so forth.

None of it seems to be working. To put it simply: so not feeling the aster.

But anyone is welcome to come and brainstorm with him. Or he might just notice your character trying to do something. ]

[Did someone say capitalize? Rutee is positive someone say the word money and when there is fast cash to be made there is Rutee Katrea. She couldn't thank these Bidoofs more for building their little home, giving her the perfect chance for another get-rich-quick scheme. She'll have to test it out, of course, if all goes well she'll be back here with more supplies.

Her and her Meowth seem to be gathering bottles upon bottles of water, a reasonable number to carry.

The Pokemon gives a tired meow.. mostly out of laziness. He'd rather be taking a catnap.] If you would just learn Pay Day we wouldn't have to worry about money! Come on, help me, would ya?

[Of all the things he could be doing right now, it had to be unblocking a dumb Bidoof dam? He could be out on a real scoutie with the others, doing reckless things if it weren't for the city's stupid water supply. He takes an arrow out of his quiver and ties something from his Ranger kit onto the tip.]

[Angelo sees the scene of Grimer and Trubbish fighting and although he can't get close to them, he does something entirely else. So what does he do? He doesn't stop the fight, nope. Does he push someone else to do it or run away? Nope, not that either. He sets up a small area for gambling on which Pokemon will win of course. Because being a rich man, it doesn't matter to him who loses in the end because he has enough money on him and he likes the enjoyment of suckering others into gambling.]

Beside him, a large Houndoom places herself conspicuously between him and the fight, growling at the Grimer and the Trubbish as if to say touch the little girly human and I will personally destroy you. Attagirl, Emilia.]

Wait, wait, so what's the deal here? Are they like, fighting over who's the grungiest of them all or something?

[There really isn't a whole lot left to consume in the Scorched Forest, and rather than actually have to do some work and actively seek out fuel in the forest (Not that any of the wild Pokémon would appreciate him burning up some trees), Calcifer had a better idea.

There was a city full of humans not too far away. It took some effort to get there, sure. But hopefully it would pay off in the long run.

So you may have just gotten home, and there is a Slugma just lounging in whatever passes for a fireplace.]

[Merrill blinks curiously at the Pokemon that has suddenly taken up residence in the wood burning stove that heats her tiny low income apartment in the slums.]

Oh... I wasn't expecting company.

[And contrary to the crummy lodgings and the sudden revelation that there's a Slugma just chilling in here, she sounds entirely pleasant and forthright.]

I'm afraid I don't have much, but...

[Must be gracious to guests! She does find a small piece of what she has left, leaning down to gently put it in there for him.]

[Kisara is, to put it simply, completely and utterly lost. She's not even entirely sure how she ended up here- that happens sometimes, that she falls asleep and wakes up somewhere completely different- but this is still a very extreme change in scenery.

Her Litwik is floating alongside her, the only light in the caverns. There's a few sounds of movement, and she hesitates before calling out to it. Her luck wasn't good, and she couldn't be sure they were friendly... but how else would she find her way out?]

[What do you mean Peacock's wide sharp-teethed mug is not what people want to see looming out from the darkness? As much as a thirteen year old can loom anyway. The Litwick's light seems to pass a bit oddly over her eyes, but as long as Kisara doesn't investigate too closely, they'll be no big deal. Just very very black.]

Guess it's too much t'hope for that you got a trail a bread crumbs leading back to the good ol' Onion, huh?

[ It's not quite a Swords' job to help cleanups of any kind. It's above them, quite literally. Or at least someone of Hans' rank shouldn't have to deal with this. But then, Hans is kind and caring and empathetic to people's needs. He knows-- hey, somebody's gotta do it, right? He might be delegating the work to his squadmates, but he's right in the thick of it too. ]

Come on, guys! Pick up the slack! I know it seems like a lot, but if we get through it together, I promise I'll take us out for lunch, okay?

[ Yes, despite being a noble, Hans is the first one to grab a broom and get to work sweeping up all the flowers and pollen. He smiles, reassuring anyone around him that this is a job that needs to get done-- and he's working hard for your sake, random citizen. Wow, what a kiss ass.

Those red eyes of his do seem to be darting about, though. He's got no problem with bug pokemon, but fairy types sometimes hung around flowers... ]

[ It's only when he's alone that Hans allows himself to shapeshift. It's not his favorite form, to be sure-- a tiny Axew is anything but regal or perfect. He's a grown man! But also a small, cute little dragon pokemon. He huffs. He might not like it, but he knows he has to train, or else he'll be stuck this way, teeny and cute, forever. And that would be just horrible. He'd never hear the end of it from his brothers.

Plus, the Old City is as good a place as any, right? Dark and desolate, Hans has brought a tiny lantern with him so he can see while he trains. As to what he expects to find-- pokemon to fight, places to explore, well he doesn't care either way, really. As long as no one he knows recognizes him.... ]

Ugh, well at least I can see... sort of.

[ Ugh, but would it kill people to clean this place up a bit? He kicks a pebble out of his way, keeping a close watch on the ground to keep himself from tripping when-- there's a tremor, just a minor one, but... Hans' tiny claws lose their hold on the lantern and it flies from his hands, rolling away until it falls. suddenly. And vanishes. Possibly down a pit that would lead to certain death. Um, was that hole always there?? ]

[That familiar whine should be obvious to Hans. Luke is working in his squad today, but even the push broom he'd been using is making him complain. Between the pollen making his asthma act up and actually having to work, this is not a good day for Luke fon Fabre.]

I wanna eat roast Ducklett already. Today's really nice for eating outside.

[Mmm, outdoor BBQ sounds great right now. Luke puts down his broom and leans back, obviously not thinking Hans of all people is going to make him work with all those common Swords!]

Master Hans, let's just sneak off...

Ugh, don't tell me what to do! [-And with Luke comes Asch, but Hans should be rather used to that by now. Looks like he's in charge of The Swords' two biggest issues right now -- the Fabre twins.]

[What colorful language for the bystanders, Asch. Sadly, it's hard to make the red-heads treat any of their relatives with respect or authority with how they've been raised under such influenceable names. The people who know them personally should know they are not your typical commoners, obviously.

Seriously, did you just tell Asch fon Fabre to pick up the slack? Rude.]

Geh, stop! Fuck, you're both such shitheads, don't do this in the damn street!

[The little Poochyena Shifter has his tail tucked between his legs, hackles up, one hand pressed hard over his sensitive nose. He looks like he really wants to dash in there and show them who's (mob) boss, but this is as close as he can get without feeling like he's got to throw up, and he's still a few yards away. His friend the Murkrow flaps overhead, but doesn't seem willing to get any closer, either.

The Trubbish and Grimer act like he's not even there.

Frustrated, Kuzuryuu snarls, then darts towards the nearest roadside tree. There's dirt there. He kicks it at the Grimer to try to get its attention.

KUZURYUU used SAND ATTACK!

...Sadly, it was effective. Both Poison-type Pokemon turn their attention towards the teen and his fancy coat.]

...Shit.

[So what if it's dark? He's a Dark type. He's next in line to lead a fucking criminal organization, what's more. He's not going to call for help just because it's a little hard to see down there, far beneath anyone in his family who could help him.

So he doesn't call out, but he keeps up a low, constant growl as he tries to retrace his steps, the little pink nose of his shiny Poochyena form skimming the ground as he follows his own scent.]

Dark types are a whole other ball game.

A few (human) paces away in the dark, little wisps glow brightly, though they fail to illuminate much of anything besides a faint outline. Maya hears the little growl, and immediately takes a step back-- but wait... could it be?

She's totally not cheshire-grinning-- it's just the opportunity to troll the heck out of this kid (whether she's got it right or not) is waaay to good to pass up.

Not moving, she starts to hum quietly.]

[The Warp Band crackles to life, its screen dimly illuminating the worried face of a young girl. Her voice is a loud whisper as she transmits an SOS to whoever should be listening, trying to keep herself calm.]

My Pokémon and I were exploring the Old City when we encountered some unstable footing and dropped our only lantern into a pit. I fear we will be unable to find our way out without assistance. Please, if you're receiving this transmission, help us!

The little Mareep grazes happily on the flowers littering the street while Makoto decorates the fleece over her shoulders with the flowers she's been picking up - mostly pink, but with a few blue to contrast.]

Her Aron was weak to fire, and, while it had a better shot, her Eevee was still a lower level.

Petals flutter like wings to rest upon the Earth, leaving in their wake the aroma of new beginnings. Yet here, at the twilight of spring, we see our own fleeting youth in the wilting flora as it's swept away by the greens of maturity!

The words sprung fully-formed from Mamoru's mind like a lyrical Athena, as poetry often did. He smiled to himself, muttering some of the words under his breath to stave off that bizarre but constant urge to shout it from the rooftops. Instead he focused on the task at hand, holding open a sack as his Roserade, Blakeney, dutifully swept piles upon piles of blossoms into it. They'd already filled five of these things, but it seemed like they never ended, and Mamoru could tell his friend was getting exhausted.

Mamoru smiled and took the broom. "That's all right. We can swap out for a while, okay?" He straightned up, stretching out the ache in his back from being crouched for so long, and glancing around for his other companion. "Diego? How are you holding up?"

No answer.

Mamoru glanced around. In retrospect, it... probably wasn't a good idea to bring a turtwig out where there were piles of plants everywhere.

Gosh, but it's such a nice day out! In fact, it's so nice that there's a Roselia skipping and dancing about in this wonderland of flora!

...it would've been a lot cuter if Roselia wasn't continuously scattering petals from her own roses in apparent solidarity with all those other flowers. So yeah, she's probably part of the reason why this thankless task is seemingly neverending.
