This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications. For your convenience, we've provided a few prompts, but feel free to make your own!

1. A Wild Pokémon appears! But not just any Pokémon; this one is different. Bigger. Stronger. Angrier. More bizarre? This can be anything from an Aggron to a Lickilicky but consider it fully evolved, big, and not something you can handle alone.

2. Spring cleaning! Who left all these flowers around everywhere? In the aftermath of what happened in April, the town needs to be thoroughly cleared of vegetation and debris. It will require a group effort. Your Bugs might be a little distracted though.

3. The fresh water in Union is getting low! It seems like Bidoof have dammed off the streams in the forest that provide Union with its fresh water. What do you do? Murder the Bidoof? Dig a new waterway right next to Union? Capitalize on the shortage and sell bottled water produced by your Water types?

4. You're in the depths of the Old City exploring and you just dropped your only source of light into a bottomless abyss. Whoops. Hopefully, you're not alone, right? ...If you are alone, perhaps it would be a good idea to call for a rescue.

5. A Grimer and a Trubbish are fighting in the middle of Union! It's so disgusting that you can't even get close. Do you rush in to break it up? Push someone else to do it? Take bets on who will win? Run away and gossip with your friends about the deplorable state of Union nowdays and how much better Gigas probably is?

6. Wildcard! Make up your own!

[ There's a smile because that is totally what he was aiming for. ]

C'mon, Robin! We're not doing anything standing around.

[ And with total disregard for his school outfit he jumps into the river himself and starts moving some of the Bidoof so Chester's Pidgeotto can reach 'em. Robin tweets and perches himself at the top of the dam and getting at the anything small he can destroy. ]

[aniiue]

Just don't breathe in the spores, little bird.

[He piles up the logs on the shore to keep they from being washed away as the water starts to move again. It's heavy work, but it's better than sitting around moping like... he usually does...]

For some reason they always move from the lakes to the rivers leading into the cities at the start of spring. We still haven't figured it out.

[ Robin chirps back a response. Don't worry he'll be as careful as a little robin can be!

Despite his size Dick doesn't seem to have any major problems moving the Bidoofs and some logs as the water starts coming through. With a small grunt he places another Bidoof on the shore before responding. ]

Not even a clue? I don't think Bidoofs are migratory so there must be a reason.

[aniiue]

My superior always just figures they're dumb enough to wobble their way over... Maybe the grass is fresher for their kids or something here.

[Yep... Over turning the last log, he finds two Bidoof eggs underneath. Very carefully, he sets them into his Ranger pack. Then, he gets out of the way of the quickening water as it flows into the city.]

Let's go bring these back, I don't ...want their mom missing them.

... Could be. It'd be a good idea to look into that if they haven't.

[ Dick's expression softens as he watches the eggs be put into the Ranger pack and gives a small nod. ]

If we hurry maybe we can make it down there before she notices.

[aniiue]

Right.

[He hooks the bag over his shoulder and slings his bow across his back. Waiting for Shuu'u doesn't take very long, and the Pidgeotto only circles back so they can follow him to where the Bidoofs are still curled up napping. Something doesn't feel quite right though...]

[Just as Chester moves to take the eggs out of his satchel, there's a noise from behind them in the bushes. Looks like the mom and dad aren't Bidoof; they're two large, angry Bibarel who were out of the dam when the nasty humans tore it down and took their babies.]

Oh man... Not quick enough.

[ Robin perches himself back on Dick's shoulder as they made their way to the sleeping Bidoofs.

Right as the Bibarel came out Dick finds himself analyzing them. Both were level 18; he wasn't even aware that there were Pokemon that level in this area. But it doesn't stop him from standing his ground. ]

We need to help them get traught before we can explain. As they are right now they'll just ignore anything we say. Do you have any Pokemon that could help?

[aniiue]

[Traught...? Chester had no idea where he was going with that train of thought, but the... jist of it was there. He opened his Warp Band as Pidgeotto, too, sits on his shoulder. He looks a lot more ridiculous than he did when he was a tiny Pidgey, but Chester can't help it now. He just perches.]

My little sister's Cleffa could probably help... but she's just a baby, I wouldn't want her getting hurt. Still, she's out best option if we don't want to fight them.

[ As long as the general idea was conveyed it's okay. Dick frowns a little at the thought of using a baby Pokemon to do the job but if it's their only option then they just have to be cautious.

Thankfully he didn't have to ask whether Chester had the Cleffa. With a quick glance he can tell that it's in his Warp Band and figures it's a good idea not to ask why. ]

... Okay. Think your Pidgeotto could help her get closer? Robin will do what he can to help too. They can also help defend her off any attacks.

[ Not so much Robin since he's level eight but Pidgeotto seems to be a high enough level to do that. ]

[aniiue]

Right. Shuu'u, make sure Apple stays away from them and don't knock her off.

[Apple the Cleffa appears from the Warp Band, sleepy and rubbing her eyes before looking up at Chester happily. He picks her up and pets her head before taking the eggs out of his pack and putting her in instead. Shuu'u takes a hold of the bag and Apple looks a little scared before relaxing. She'd flown with Shuu'u before, but only when he was a Pidgey! It's still hard for her to comprehend evolution.]

Apple, we need you to try and use Charm on those Bibarels, okay? Try and calm them down.

[After a moment, the Cleffa seems to give a thumbs up and a happy Clef!]

Be careful...

[ Dick gives Robin a glance and a nod after Chester finishes explaining to his Pokemon what to do. The robin Pokemon chirps in understanding. He then turns his attention back to Chester. ]

We should hurry. They're not going to be getting any less distraught if we don't.

[ In fact they seem just second away from lashing out at the group. Dick can only guess that the only reason they haven't yet is because their eggs are too close causing some hesitation. ]

[aniiue]

[Apple is oblivious to the danger, being as she's a baby and all, and uses Charm! She wiggles her little paws and blows a kiss~ How cute!]

[Sadly, it only works on the male Bibarel. He gets all whimsical, perhaps for a day gone by when his wife wasn't so invested in babies and dams. When they were young Bidoofs, meeting for the first time over a nice piece of wood. Oh, the memories. Unfortunate for him, his wife is not thinking of the same things. She lashes out with a Headbutt, but Shuu'u is too quick and flies upward to keep Apple out of the way. Still, it's all given Chester enough time to hook another Sleep Powder capsule to an arrow and fire it near the Bibarel's feet... hoping to put them asleep as well.]

[ After Shuu'u flew up in order to avoid the headbutt Robin took the initiative and flew in front of the female Bibarel to grab its attention before the arrow was fired at the feet. He circles around watching the Bibarel carefully for the group; the Sleep Powder seem to be working.

Meanwhile Dick rubs the back of his neck. ]

Well that's one way to do it. Think it's safe to leave the eggs nearby them once we know they're asleep?

That was my plan. We'll put them down next to the mom and she won't worry when she wakes up.

[Chester reaches up for Apple when Shuu'u flies back down, letting her sit on his shoulder while he puts his bow away and picks up his Ranger kit. Then, when he's certain the Bibarel are both asleep, he puts both eggs down nestled between the mom's legs and belly. Then he gets the heck out of there.]

[ Robin goes back and perches on Dick's shoulder again once it was made sure that the two Bibarel are asleep. Dick just gives Chester a silent nod and watches as the eggs are placed where they belong and follows him out of there. No more angry Bibarel 'kay thanks. ]

No problem! I couldn't just leave without knowing that they're all safe and sound where they should be.

[aniiue]

Right, that's how I feel too.

Maybe you should think of becoming a Ranger.

[justbewhelmed]

[ Dick gives a small nervous chuckle. ]

I've thought about it but I already have plans to follow my caretaker's footsteps.

[aniiue]

... Well, there's nothing wrong with that.

[He'd gone on and become what his father had been, after all. He doesn't blame him.]

We always need volunteers though, if you're ever bored inside the city.

I'm Chester, by the way.

[justbewhelmed]

I might take you up on that offer sometime.

[ As much as he likes Union and wish the best for it the city can get sickening after a while. ]

Richard Grayson. My friends call me Dick.

[He offers him a hand to shake. Apple puts one out too, but she's just copying Chester.]

It's nice to meet you. See you around? I have to continue my scout.

[justbewhelmed]

[ Dick takes the hand and shakes it while giving a small smile at Apple. ]

Nice to meet you too. Yeah, I should get back to Union but I'll see you around. Have fun on your scout.

[ While he'll try to have fun in the research center. Probably bother people oops ]

[Apple bops Robin on the nose when she can reach the Flying Type, blowing them both a kiss as they leave. Cute Charm! Chester waves, and goes back to his route.]
