Salvation Meme!

The holidays are upon Union, bringing an event (and plenty of snow) in their wake...and in the midst of the excitement, some characters may have gifts they wish to give others. That's where this meme comes in!

If you just want to post an OOC list of the Salvation gifts your character got their CR (or their Pokémon, or their CR's Pokémon...), there's an OOC top-level comment for that. If you'd rather surprise someone ICly, however, there's a section for that as well.

[eggbaby looks over at you and burbles to herself, thinking hard. There was something she wanted, but what was it...?

Michiru looks around her studio, mentally noting how all the expensive things are already locked up or placed on high shelves.]

I believe they should be fine. [provided nothing explodes.

To the Pokemon:] Place the rags by the tarp when you're done, please.

Jolteon! [ Trainer's Trainer is such a nice lady. Gold likes it when she teaches him new moves, too. Lulu is lucky to get to work with her all the time. (His Trainer is the most incredible human being alive, obviously, but he's never gotten the feeling he's been able to help her.)

He'll have to clean this floor well for the both of them. Won't they be surprised when they come back! He bends his head into the task. ] Jolt.

[ Haruka smiles and feels comfortable enough to head out of the room. Something flashes on her sleeve... ]

[Michiru follows, only for eggbaby to suddenly start trilling and wiggling at you. It's the shiny thing!

She pauses, tracing where baby's gaze is being trained, and then she's holding babyboit to you.

She's not even bothering to hide her amusement.]

[ WHOA A BABY that wants something from her. Unsure why Minuet has suddenly taken such an interest in her, Haruka holds up both her hands in an "it wasn't me" gesture. Flash flash goes the light on her button. ]

...Oi. You're the mother....

[ She's flattered, baby, but...why? ]

And what would you say your role in this is?

[and baby is still wiggling, watching that button as you move your arms.]

[ Haruka doesn't know the answer to that question, honestly, so she chooses not to answer it. Instead she holds a finger out for baby. This? ]

She's gotten capricious.

[ If you really reach, baby, maybe you can grab the button! ]

[baby certainly seems to be trying, little arms stretched as far as they would go!! And when Mommy moves her a little closer, baby ignores the finger completely and latches onto the button.] Prii!

Has she? [chasing after shiny things has always seemed to be her prerogative.]

[ ....True. Well, if that's what baby wants, there's no point in Michiru standing here holding her out like that. Haruka accepts Minuet, holding her securely but giving her ample access to the shiny button. If it weren't a choking hazard, kiddo, she'd let you keep it. ]

Good thing we haven't put up any tinsel.

[ She has a feeling it wouldn't have stayed up for long. ]

[baby seems to be the epitome of contentment, at least for the next five minutes.

Michiru just smiles at the scene.] The relatively more festive leaves don't count?

[ Haruka doesn't know where Natto is finding fresh leaves in the dead of winter, but she also can't say it's surprising. ] Too pedestrian.

[ You're a discerning baby, aren't you? Just like your mommy. She twists her wrist for maximum sparkly. ]

[baby trills in delight and continues her game of trying to catch the shiny thing!]

Are you saying you want to decorate? [how domestic. Not that she isn't up for it if you are.

At least they don't know about the pending addition of a kitten to the household.]

Easy... [ Haruka knows where this might head. A few gewgaws turns into decking the halls - for something seasonal that's only around for a short time - and then she's asked to reach tall places and hang things from the ceiling and open tightly-screwed jars. All of which she will happily do once resigned to the task, but for now she's more uncertain whether Michiru wants to decorate or not.

They're reaching a point in the hallway where Natto has procured one of the pink flowers from the Flower Grove. He has decorated it with a sprig of mistletoe and managed to get it to the ceiling all by himself thanks to the "orange Pidgey". Haruka, watching baby play, doesn't see it coming. ]

She'd have more reason to decorate if the child was around to enjoy it, though she suspects the more exciteable Pokemon would be delighted.

And that's a tug on your (other) sleeve.]

[as if they needed any more excuses to lick faces, Natto.]

[ Natto thought it was pretty....He hung it up there because it'd be bad if one of the babies ate it! He's thoughtful like that.

Haruka flicks a glance at the ceiling, then chuckles. Here's another one-armed hold, baby. But that means the button is right here! Next to your face!

She stretches her newly-freed arm out to Michiru. ] What a dangerous hallway.

[ There's all these horrid pitfalls. Whatever will she do. ]

[!!! Baby trills excitedly at the sudden gratification of all her desires (at this very moment) and happily grabs onto the shininess before it disappears!]

Quite unexpected. [and well, she's sliding into the curve of your arm]

[ Happy Salvation, baby. Never say Haruka doesn't do anything for you.

Just don't say it right now, though. She's kissing Mommy, holding her every bit as tightly. ]

[mm. A corner of her mind has to admit that these heels are rather nice, but really. That's not what she's thinking of right now.

Baby continues to burble happily to herself, completely unaware of anything that's going on above her.]

[ Good baby. Stay that way.

Haruka is beginning to not care that they had someplace to go. If she's going to do this mistletoe thing, she's doing it properly.

When the kiss finally ends, she barely withdraws her head. ] Silly tradition.

[ Maybe they should go find some more. ]

Silly? [that's a fond look - and a hand reaching up to brush a spot of glitter off your cheek.] Should I be asking for my kiss back?

[ Don't be against the spirit of the season, Michiru. That's Haruka's (insincere) job. She grins. ] We should try this someplace less disruptive.

[ Maybe Natto would be willing to sew a bunch of shiny buttons onto a curtain for baby. They can drape it above her bed.

A kiss for Michiru's forehead - thanks to the boots, it's easier to reach than the top of her head - and she's heading down the hallway again, partner presumably in tow. Hopefully there will be somemon in the nursery who can look after the baby. If not, well, they know where Lulu is. ]

[that's...an odd flip flopping in her stomach. She takes a breath and leans into you, though she can't quite hide that small smile.

She's supposed to be immune to those gestures, right?]

[ Every time you make fun of her Haruka gets a weird fuzzy feeling in her heart, so what goes around comes around. And gets cuddled while it's at it, too.

She pokes her head in the room where most of the Pokémon sleep, grinning like a lovesick idiot (how odd). ] Anybody home?

[ Vulpix is here, apparently. She raises her head to see what the humans want. That's the only one of Haruka's Pokémon, though... ]

[Martelé's there! That weird dream thing happened long ago enough for her to ignore any weird implications and to focus on trying to annoy the Princess when she can. She hops out of her claimed bed to say hi to her Trainer.

Michiru gives her Pokemon a smile and then turns to bribe baby into letting go of the button. Whose plush Rhyhorn is this...?]
