Salvation Meme!

The holidays are upon Union, bringing an event (and plenty of snow) in their wake...and in the midst of the excitement, some characters may have gifts they wish to give others. That's where this meme comes in!

If you just want to post an OOC list of the Salvation gifts your character got their CR (or their Pokémon, or their CR's Pokémon...), there's an OOC top-level comment for that. If you'd rather surprise someone ICly, however, there's a section for that as well.

Sooooo Natto the Leavanny is far more into the Salvation spirit than Haruka. In addition to having delivered every piece of clothing people have comissioned from him by now, if you've met Natto at all and had a conversation with him, you get a handmade scarf in the perfect colors for your complexion/fur/whatever. Doesn't matter if you're a human or a Pokémon. He made you a scarf. (And if you don't have a neck, he made you a hat.)

Also from Natto:

-- Michiru gets a lacy, cream-colored hand-made shawl that he thinks will look like sea foam on the ocean
-- Minuet the Togepi gets booties and a blanket with yarn flowers knitted on it
-- Lulu the Roselia gets a shawl just like Michiru's except with the flowers on it, too
-- Kaido's Floette gets some knitted flowers on their own, for days when she can't find fresh ones
-- Rei Ryuugazaki gets a beret. A beautiful beret.
-- Pinky the Clefairy gets a corsage with big ol' ribbons on it to match the ear bow he made her earlier

Haruka only got a specific present for Michiru. She got status boosters and treats for everyone's Pokémon otherwise, with an emphasis on the status boosters for the senshi. CONSTANT VIGILANCE. (The contents of your gift bag change depending on what Pokémon you have, though. She got what they'll like.)

Miscellaneous Pokémon:
-- Sky the Beartic got Goku's Charizard some hand warmers and a Charizard-sized cravat
-- Gold the Jolteon got Martelé the Vaporeon a box of Berries, especially Cheri Berries
-- He also got Yuuna and her party a box of Berries and Antidotes, which are partially also from Haruka but she's being ~cool~ about it
-- Ferrari the Nidoran got Stradivarius the Nidorina some Poffins he made all by himself and a bouquet of red roses
-- And if you're in the theater or visit the theater, Haruka's Mr. Mime has been baking cookies! He and some of her Pokémon have been handing them out just outside the theater as a PR stunt, too, so feel free to assume you got a cookie. They are safe for both human and Pokémon consumption.

It's not traditionally for frogs, but she modified the rune carvings a little bit for Yuuna. It'll probably work the same way (or, you know, not at all, since it's just superstition).

Well considering she's a bit superstitious and more things try to kill her than just frogs it'll be appreciated. Things with tentacles also seem popular by the mods, at least.

And I just assume we're threading out the gift giving as part of our log so no worries there.

If you want to handwave other gifts, or thread them out I'm fine with that though, whatever works best for you.

Isabela

Isabela is, naturally, only vaguely aware of the holiday and more on the Grinch side of things than the Santa Claus one. Merrill and Yuuna, however, will probably be getting some festive holiday teacups, because Isabela doesn't always think about resale value when she robs Swords for fun.

Rise

Asemu will be getting some very nice gold cufflinks with a note that says "For when neither of us can get out of stuffy parties <3", as well as some holiday sweets (storebought. Thank Toyo.) She seriously considered buying him some Charcoal before she considered how that'd look.

Haruka, Michiru, and whoever else still lives at Union Divine Theater each gets a color-coordinated scarf.

Chie gets a nice flowery hair barrette.

Kanji gets a Plush Poké Doll. Because if he's embarrassed by it, he can claim it's practical.

Yu gets to not freeze and all the Blissey eggs he wants.

NPC!Jinxie and the rest of her clan get a big catered platter of Marukyu-brand fried tofu, with a note to share it with their Ninetales.

Merrill does not question where these teacups came from in any way whatsoever. In return, Isabela can expect to receive some fancy swatches of cloth and one or two gemstones that Merrill has no business possessing personally but does because she has some very mischievous Ghost types who like fancy trappings.

Estelle gets people Salvation gifts at the last minute! She does her best to get stuff for everyone in the Seekers, so anyone who's a Seeker gets a box of caramels from Caldera that she picked up when she got the fireworks. A few specific ones too!

- Lux gets an awesome beret with a feather in the cap. It's dark red and Calderan design.
- Lucas gets a nice handmade walking stick/smack people around stick. It's about the size of a short staff.
- Merrill gets a couple of books about Caldera's history because she seems smart to Estelle.
- Goku gets a cool leather jacket.

Char doesn't get anyone anything. He's too cool for that.

OOC Gifting

Ky's got two sets - gifts for family, and gifts for other Swords and former swords.

Lux gets a prism pendant
Garen will get a new pair of leather gloves
Of course they will both receive cookies with it, and a tin of pokemon food for their mons

Asch, Luke, Chie and Martin will receive a tin of cookies as well with a choice of Snickerdoodles, Peanut Butter, Sugar, or Chocolate Chip.

Everyone He Knows is getting cookies.
Eiji gets funny long underwear because he knows you. Tiria the Literate Frosslass and Aubertia the Story-telling Misdreavus teamed up to write him a little story about a heroic Beartic that acts a lot like Eiji.
Yuuna gets a voucher for dinner for two at a restaurant for her and her girlfriend :3 She also gets a Pokéstory about a girl who constant has to chase down her misbehaving Ghastly (who is so blatantly a Martin-parallel that it's hilarious)
Cordelia got a fiancé XD but really, she gets romance novels like she's gotten every year. He wouldn't let the 'mons write her a romance story...so she got a very strange haiku about snowflakes and robins, Martin isn't quite sure what Tiria was getting at there.
Elly gets a handwritten thank you for being there after his accident, apologizing for not knowing what to get her other than this. Tiria and Aubertia wrote her a cute little Salvation story that is basically The Little Match Girl, only way happier and involving a Vulpix for some reason.
All the Swords get either bottles of (booze free) apple cider or (booze filled) eggnog, depending on their age and Martin's assessment of their responsibility. His former superiors get cards with Tiria-written haiku in them.
Lucas, thanks to Martin asking around and figuring out that the sad boy on the network was him, is getting a plush Lillipup. He also gets a Pokéstory about a boy who helps Pokémon and ends up being best friends with all of them.
Goku's Poor Boring Volbeat gets a good luck note from Tiria.

Guy Cecil

Everyone He Knows is getting a voucher of sorts for one Enhanced item of their choice where he won't make you supply the goods.
Asch is getting a bracelet with the Fire type symbol on one side and the Psychic on the other.
Luke gets a choker with the same pendant. They're to hopefully keep track of you two dorks next time you run off and get stuck in Pokéform.
Cordelia gets gloves because he's a smartass. And her favorite homemade snack.
Natalia gets brownies. He never knows what to get her. She scares him.

Michiru: A book of blank sheet music as well as one filled with classical pieces.
Haruka: A book on ancient myths and legends of Union and the world as well as a pair of earrings in the shape of wings.
Yuuna: A book on herbs found in the wild and their uses as well as a pair of earrings in the shape of water droplets.
Hiccup: A book on trouble shooting when faced with problems in your inventions.
Goku: A book on how to help pokemon make friends.

[Michiru is in her studio, though this time, she's not doing most of the painting. There are a few practice swatches littering the tabletop, but most of the space has been cleared for a piece of blank canvas and a large piece of polished metal with neatly arranged blobs of paint on it for easy access. Lulu is standing on the table, staring at the canvas with great focus. Her roses are a bit more colorful than usual, though she doesn't seem to notice.

Michiru sits nearby, paint arranged neatly next to her as eggbaby burbles happily in her lap and plays with her fingers.

[ The woman lounging in the door can't help but notice all the helpers her partner has gathered around her, you see. Gold is here too, carrying a package in his mouth. Bit by bit, he's working his way back into Haruka's good graces by learning ways to actually be helpful.

I didn't know talent was contagious. [ Gold carefully picks his way to the easel - despite there not being any impediments on the ground - and sits to wait. Don't slobber on the package, he tells himself. Be helpful. He's concentrating so very hard. It's so difficult not to drop the package and effuse to Lulu how much he likes that picture! Er - what will be a picture someday!

Haruka, however, seems casual as ever, coming up behind Michiru and resting a hand on her shoulder. ] Painter's block?
